Thanks for the intro, Mike! Really appreciate it. Hey all! As Mike mentioned, my love of craft has really grown the past 2-3 years or so and I jumped back on BA in 2013. I was actually on the site for a short period of time back in 2004 after attending the 1st ever EBF, but I was a young lad then who didn't know shit about shit and didn't keep up. But I got bit by the craft bug again a few years ago and since then I've gone all in (homebrewing, trading, cellaring, etc..). Always wanted to join in on a BIF/LIF thread, so I really appreciate @ColdOne intro'ing and vouching for me.

I'm originally from Irvington, NY (Westchester County) but now live in NNJ. So, my plan is to put together a LIF filled with some NY/NYC/NJ favorites (Captain Lawrence, Other Half, Singlecut, Carton, Grimm, etc) to get started.

In the meantime, I'm going to read through as much of the thread as possible to get acclimated and up to date. You all seem like an awesome group of people, so I'm excited to join in on the conversation.

Yep, I was actually wearing the same hat as in my profile pic. And I can't blame @ColdOne too much. Even though we hung out together for the entire weekend, including a pretty awesome dinner at Salty Pig after Session 2, I'm pretty sure the amount of time he spent at the Jackie O's booth assisted in wiping out his memory Men in Black style

 

If you value your time and personal life, you should get out now while you can before it's too late.

And assuming you've already forgone that piece of advice, welcome aboard to the new generation of degenerates!

 

I gotta say - the EBF was pretty awesome as a volunteer. 2nd session i got to stand between tree house and LA. Must of had good morning and V15 a few more times than i checked in. They certainly gave some free reign to the help (in moderation) and being able to tick the "big line" beers prior to the fest opening was pretty cool too. Plus i got to make fun of all the drunktards without them realizing i was doing so

 

If you're in NYC and you have access to Finback Brewing, drink Buddy System... It's tastes just like Julius. I had so much of that during EBF

Welcome to the Thunder Dome we call home, Max. Glad to have you aboard. As a few others are going to mention of have heard from Mike, if you have a life, and want to continue down this road....hug and kiss it good bye.

Mainly because you'll have 2 jobs going forward. Job A: Is the one that gives you money and allows you to purchase kick ass hats like in your avatar, and Job B: Will be you reading all the shenanigans we post on a daily basis.

looks like jason has a 50% chance at winning the midwest, mseguin 50% in the south, and i have a 50% chance of winning the west.

 

@bostonbeans I'll look out for it for sure. Somehow I managed to miss it at EBF this weekend. I'm going to partially blame Other Half as I literally drowned myself in All Green Everything at Session 2.
