On a sketchy scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 1 most of the way, with the last couple of blocks spiking to a 2

Lol, ok. So I guess I'll just ignore the first guys advice. I can handle a 2, but a 3, that may be cutting it close...

One wrong turn? Where is he gonna end up? Brooklyn Heights? Park Slope? It's nothing but nice neighborhoods and it's an enjoyable walk. He's not gonna end up in Brownsville. Pretty much everyone has smart phones with GPS and it's pretty much just a straight walk down Smith St...I highly doubt he's gonna get lost.

I don't live in the sticks of VA here. I'm right outside of DC and walk through rough areas all the time. I can handle myself in a city. Appreciate the heads up, but as long as I'm not walking though the hood I'll be fine. I don't know where the rough parts of Brooklyn are, so I just wanted to get a feel of the area by the locals.

I dunno. Be careful @LanguedocRocks - Park Slope at the wrong time of day (i.e. during peak brunch hour) can be a frightening place.

True. Those mothers and their strollers can get awful scary after a few mimosas.

Someone mentioned it in this thread already - it's better to park over at the Lowe's parking lot and walk over. It's only 2.5 blocks away.

That won't cause drama with OH like it can with McDonalds.

This sounds awesome but when I looked it up on google maps it said its a half mile away if you cross via 9th Street. I guess I should just park in the NE corner of the lot to make it easier to get to 9th via 2nd ave? Any shortcut I'm not seeing on the map?

There is another entrance on 9th street. Under the Train tracks. It puts you right on the East side of the Gowanus Canal.

Beware parking in other business's parking lots and going to another establishment in nyc. They will get you on video leaving the lot and tow your car. Unfortunately I know from experience.

I never drive there but what is stopping someone parking at Mcdonalds, eating there, and then walking across the street for a lil bit? Long as you're a customer you should be able to park there. But who knows

I would call the brewery and ask what they recommend. I did that for SingleCut in Astoria and they told me they have an agreement with the shopping center across the street. Maybe OH has a similar arrangement.

Good to know as I plan on driving there next weekend. Absolutely loved the bottles Singlecut put out.
