You guys are making this far too complicated. When I get my growlers filled I drive there. There is parking in the neighborhood, no need to worry about getting your car towed parking in other establishments or calling OH. I have never had a problem getting a legal spot. It may take a little searching and walking, but this is New York City.

You should visit the taproom (easy parking too!) much more on draft to try. I love their Dean ale, the new George Belgian and the black lagers.

Just putting it out there - I never thought about it as a native NYer then last year got towed from a shopping center lot I used for over 10 years. Had me on video going across the street. Private lot & tow company - was such a pain to get the car back. I won't shop there again. Most likely its not a problem but now when parking I check the private lot signs.

Best bet in NYC is to find a street parking spot a few blocks away. Why risk it for a potentially massive fine that'll be impossible to fight? Otherwise, drive to around a neighboring G or F subway stop and take the train a stop or two. Will add a few minutes, but I'd rather lose a few minutes than several hundred dollars.

Total side question that hasn't been raised in this thread:

Is there a near future where OH will think about relocating? The reality is that they are completely blowing up, and there is no way they can keep up with demand in a significant way. With the buzz coming off EBF, it's likely only to continue.

With their minuscule tasting room and fairly humble production capacity (given the size of their brewery floor), I can't imagine they aren't at about capacity now (especially if they want to create a barrel-aging program any more robust than what they currently do). I'd hate to see them leave Gowanus, and I reckon there are probably still some spaces they can get in that area (especially given Threes' huge space), but I just don't see how they are going to be able to keep up with the massive demand with their current confines.

Sam mentioned to me at the anniversary that they weren't planning on moving from the current location or expanding it. He said that if they did expand at all it would be with a second location.

Yeah I heard a long while back that if they did expand that it would possibly happen with a brew pub. Which would be nice imo. Greenpoint brewery is doing it well with Dirck the Norseman, so I think OH could do very well with a spot with a good kitchen. Esp since they have already done dinner/beer piarings with places like La Birreria.

Will be there this coming Saturday for a friend's bachelor party and this is one of our stops, looking forward to it. What's the best way to tell what they're currently pouring?

Hopefully they will bring back Tiny Dancer - which is what OH brewed for MD, BGH, and OF for their 4th Anniversary Parties. It was an IPA, I believe with simcoe that clocked in around 5.5% and looked like piney OJ. Fantastic.

Untappd check-ins are your best bet, especially if someone posts a photo of the draft board.

I share the sentiment of the others saying not to park in the mcdonalds parking lot. It just leads to the possibility of problems for yourself and the brewery. I have been there at least a dozen times (I drive everytime..I live an hour away) and have never ever had a problem parking. Even during the Superfun! and first GD release I found parking on the street on the block of OH. And that was on the weekend and with snow banks all over the place.

Save yourself the trouble and money, as well as OH any trouble, and dont be lazy!

Agreed! We always drive and in the 10+ times we have been to the taproom we have found parking on the street right in front of OH all but once. The one time we weren't able to get parking right out front we were able to park a block away without problem. No need to park at the McDonalds.
