    Also all day ipa is pretty hard to beat. Honestly I can session two hearted all day too even though its not meant to be

    I would also like to add that while I was at Founders last week, I tried their All Night IPA. The black session version of the IPA. If it was bottled for distribution it would be my number one. amazing how much better the black session was.

    It wasnt called a 'session ipa' by the brewer but that is what I would call 'Bitter American' by 21A...


    My only beef with it was that it was the same price as their IPA.

    When you say session, I hope we are talking about 4% ABV and under. Squatters and Wasatch brewiers make some very tasty session brews, in bottles and on-tap (that is the limit here in UT, nothing over 4% ABV on-tap). Some of the bottles I've had of a session IPA (Uinta and Zion Canyon) the Zion Canyon brew was way better, but still not a true IPA (to 6% or greater ABV), it just does not do it for me. As someone mention earlier American Pale Ale now that is a different story, lot more hoppier, and even at 4% ABV here a Full Suspension on-tap is very tasty.

    No, it does not. A session brew is no higher than 4% ABV, I believe true session brews are around 2-3% ABV. I might be wrong, but I think it's pretty close, at least what I have read.

    I pin session brews to constitute a beer that I want multiple of in a session... 60 minute is exactly that. ABV is ArBitrarVy.

    Jeez, if that's what constitutes a session beer then pretty much every IPA I drink is a session, including the DIPAs.

    Sunshine daydream is a top for me. Fat Heads does it right. I also love FFF's Yum Yum session APA.
