Guess it depends on how you like your BA stouts. I prefer them big and boozy, and I feel it loses those qualities with age

4-packs were $23.99 & $24.99 last year. Wonder what they'll be at for the 2015 release. Meh.

Which has nothing to do with its aging petential. That does not mean that it does not age gracefully into an even better beer IMO. Saying that it does not age well is different than saying you prefer all of your stouts unaged, big, and boozy.

What about Parabola's aging process do you not like? I'm just curious, because I've let it rest for up to three years and never detected anything amiss.

I don't know if I have the resolve to age it beyond that.

x3. A lot of people report it doesn't age well, but I've heard the opposite from a lot of close friends who have done verticals.

According to a local mom/pop shop owner in HR we probably all know, that is correct. Six bottles for all the local stores.

The flavors just tastes old. Barrel qualities and flavor in general diminish

Heat diminishes. All other flavors become more apparent.

I like it when it's about a year old. I'll drink my 2014 bottles when I get my hands on 2015.

They had a 4 year vert on tap at the barrelworks release going back to 2012. The 13 wasnt tasting great but 12 & 14 were amazing. The 13 could have been an isolated issue to that one keg or tap line but overall I've always felt Parabola ages very well.

I found the same in Pueblo, CO last April - just on the shelf, regular price, and a few bottles. Was definitely suprised, and grabbed one.

It's everywhere in Orange Co today. San Diego tomorrow. It may not be on the shelf, so you should always ask. Got my 6 from BevMo that way (limit 2)

So. I got my second chance, same situation. They had 6 cases or more, no limits. 15.99. I stay within my means and only buy 6, so now I am at 12 bottles. Then once in my car I realize they might have the stone IRS so I go back in, and discover Fyodors classics fresh off the truck, and buy 3 of those. $20 after tax. Now i am broke, but my cellar is looking great!

Six bottles TOTAL, or six per store? Because six total would be nuts. Either way, that's nuts. Have they said when they'll arrive?
