Twin Cities Bottle Hunt

I wasn't paying much attention but looked like at least a dozen cases each, but I would call ahead.

 

Which one of you ass clowns was out in the Casanova parking lot trying to get my mom to buy these for you? Back off, she buys for me dammit!

 

iRun2Beer assessment sounds right. I was expecting a wall of psuedoSue, but it was not.

 

Looked like a small stack of a dozen or so cases of each to me. Who knows if they have any in back or in coolers.

Also for those wondering Pompeii was $8.99, Sue was standard $6.99.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're both sold out before the afternoon rush hour.

 

The last shipment of Sue lasted several days...don't run over little old ladies (or mom's in parking lots) trying to rush over there. Though perhaps the addition of a new bottled beer will cause the blood to boileth over.

 

Unless not all of sue was put out, it is maybe like 1/5 of what they got last time. With the 3 bottle limit, doubt it is as much as last time when they had a six bottle limit. As for how long it will last, who knows. We should all take a guess, could be a fun new game.

They also tapped a keg each of regifter and easy rider. I enjoyed both but regifter was more my style, lots of peach and mango and stronger malt presence. Pretty tasty stuff, if you over there today for any of the above mentioned releases I would recommend stopping for a pour.

 

Shifting gears for a second...has anyone seen High West-ified in the TC? The small amount that Casanova got last week sold out almost instantly, and I read that a few places were getting deliveries today but haven't heard specifics.

 

I was at the TG taproom on Saturday, and, for my money, Pompeii and Easy Rider are slightly better than pseudoSue, Regifter not quite as good.

 

Chicone's in Hudson has some (I just bought 2 bottles after going to Casanova). Had to ask the guy to get it from in back.

For any of you making the trek to Hudson today, I heard a guy at Casanova say they got 20 cases of each. When I left a.little more than an hour ago, there were maybe 5 cases of PseudoSue left and maybe a little more Pompeii. They also have Golden Nugget and Tsunami to console yourself with if You get shut out on the other two.

To add to the TG hysteria, when I was checking out with my bottles of Sue, the gentleman at checkout said this batch was tasting as good as ever!

 

Cub Liquors in Shakopee had 10 or so left at 2pm today up at the counter - $8.99.

 

Casanovas is out of both Sue and Pompeii. Said they had 25 cases of each.

 

I was more wrong that you were. It's like a bad version of The Price is Right.

 

DeVine still has them. two bottle limit though.

 

First Grand Liquor just posted theyll have it on Friday.

otherwise, Cub Liquor is the only place ive heard of getting it so far.

they are gone. they got theirs on Friday but unfortunately couldnt sell them until Monday as they werent in their system and the manager was out of town. i walked in there on Friday to see the two full cases untouched.

chicones, nova and marketplace were the only three accounts to get them from their distributor.

 

There are a couple bottles of BA Bigfoot hanging out at Falls Liquor if anyone missed out.

Seems like High West is popping up, but seems like most stores only got a case (from what Ive gathered) , so happy hunting to all. Cant complain about an $8.99 price tag, hopefully bottles are as good as tap
