For sure, that's what I have been doing, I guess I'm just worried they won't put it online at all. But that's a risk I'll have to take if I don't want to go check the stores.

If you're in Orange County, they sold out in Costa Mesa, Orange and Cypress. Online it says they have some. I went into the stores and were sold out. They said it takes a while for their system to update.

for the same reason the Asian guy bothers. To get an Assassin, or to mark up 3x the cost for his gastropub...

You really can't rely on bevmo website for an accurate inventory. Even the staff there have told me this. Like someone already said it only is updated once a day which as we all know for a highly desirable release like parabola inventory moves fast. Always call first or bite the bullet and make the drive.

If you purchase online, it updates instantly. Always has for me. I guess when you purchase in person, then it take a while.

Nice Dave Grohl avatar btw. Where did you see them?

No shit? I called them today and they led me to believe that they didn't have it, couldn't get it, and no other place in OC would. haha. Awesome. Good score. So this was on Monday?

Weird. I called Costco FV on Monday at noonish. The lady on the phone said a single guy bought all 24 bottles early in the morning. I was in there at 9:50 Monday morning and didn't see anything on display. Either you or the lady I talked to are lying, or they put more out on the floor yesterday when you were in there.

Last night I checked Sacramento-Midtown Bevmo online and it said they had 28 in stockton. This morning when I woke up, there were ZERO lol.

I picked up my case yesterday, but I have a serious addiction. I need to get another case lol.

Bevmo in Lake Forest wouldn't let me order online last night. I tried to order 3 and the guy called me and told me for this beer he is only doing walk ins...kind of lame. Luckily when I got there they still had plenty. As of this morning though, the website shows they are out.

not sure on your exact issue but i know due mostly to rare limited release whiskey, BevMo has adopted new policies whereas most of the employees are hands off. from what i got out of someone in the loop is - corporate ran an audit & found somewhere in the neighborhood of 90% of the highly allocated whiskey was purchased under "employee discount".

in other words the employees were hooking their friends or themselves up & product was never reachable by the average "regular". to combat the issue they've instituted a lottery system. you put your name in, likely "Mellisa" or something similar then shoots you a confirmation IF you are selected & you then get to choose which store location you would like your bottle sent to for pick-up. specific stores don't actually have product or any control over it at the time of selection (no inventory, no chance of EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT OR MANIPULATON).

the purpose of the long-winded ass post is to say maybe Mellisa was not completely yanking your chain. it does sound like BevMo has set up some sort of 2 tier system to deal with limited product & potential manipulation. she's probably being somewhat truthful about a separation between info they have access to versus what an exact store has.
