I also split with someone, and that is the only reason i have maxed out a few allocations, on most we still don't max out. Is it wrong of me that I didn't tell him about the CR allocation (I kid )

I know, it was thrown in for lulz.
Good luck! I'm interested to see if that happens.
Clearly there are other factors, but I think without pedigree then you can't really expect it. When something's an unknown quantity people tend to trade on cost/bottlecount. BT isn't an unknown quantity at all, so it can trade a bit higher. (Or maybe it trades about right, I don't know, I've never actually traded one.)
    I'm sure that'll happen.

I think that whether this reaches whale status will depend on, *gasp*, how good it ends up tasting.

Please. What matters is how rare it smells.

I fully expect it to be completely awesome and trade for nothing less than one-off Cantillons and awesome barrel aged stuff. The fact that I'm in RS has absolutely no effect on how I feel about trade values.

I joined so I could try a few beers that I thought I wouldn't like (BT and CR mainly) without throwing much better beers in my cellar at them. I was right on both accounts.

As one of the few people who has had White Oak Sap, I guess I will comment. White Oak really doesn't taste like White Oak Sap too similarly. It is only half the blend. The sap is extremely rich and bourbony with lots of maple, brown sugar, and buttered rum flavors back when I had it.

was kinda bummed about this one and planned on buying one bottle until I read Vacax post and then the White Oak Sap reviews. Sounds great although I am not sure how the addition of cacao nibs will be. Makes me this Chocosaurus Rye.

White Oak Sap was awesome when I tried it at one of the Clusterforks. I agree with vacax and I am excited for White Chocolate.

While I wasn't the biggest fan of white oak either, I am a HUGE fan of what white oak sap added to melange #3.

If you have the bottles ( and some friends I guess), a melange #3 deconstructed tasting will give you a pretty good idea as to what white oak sap adds to a brew.

I am enjoying it, but not the brews I thought I wouldn't like.

This is 2012, son; we maximize value here. Drinking enjoyment of the oughts is over.

Was The Bruery White Oak Sap ever bottled? The reviews only seem to include cask servings.

I don't believe so. I'd snap a bottle(s) up on the spot if they did.

I actually think White Oak Sap sounds better than White Chocolate. I am just skeptical of the nibs in a wheat wine. I do think the vanilla beans will be great though since it is barrel aged.
