What are the growler laws in Tenn? What sizes can you fill? Can you fill growlers from an out of state brewery?

IME, it varies by place. In Nashville, I can fill my generic growler at Craft Brewed and MOST other local shops. Breweries vary.

You can fill 32 oz and 64 oz growlers at most places. I have brought my Societe growler from San Diego to places and they will always fill it so you shouldn't have any issues with an out of state growler.

Thanks for the responses. Going to be in Nashville, is Craft Brewed the best place for growler fills?

I like Craft Brewed the best. Also Frugal's close by and The Filling Station in 12 South.

Craft Brewed is the best, imo. There is a place in the Gulch who's name I can't think of right now. It's good as well. Both you can have pints as well and at craft brewed you can grab bottles as well.

No, I am not from San Deigo, but I have family out there who I have visited and gone to Societe. I send my growler back to them and they are able to fill it up with some great beer and send it back here to Nashville.

Both of those are great beers, I love the pupil. I had Roustabout a couple of months ago, and it was fantastic. Too bad they don't bottle!

I went to the 1st anny party and Doug gave the tour and said he will never bottle the ipas sadly. I just got sent The Miser which is the triple ipa and it was awesome even though it leaked a bit and lost a bit of carb.

Hey fellas, just saw this... the Filling Station in 12 South AND East Nashville, Hops & Crafts in the Gulch, Craft Brewed, the Beer Pale, the Picnic Tap (Nash Farmer's Market), Midtown Wine & Spirits are all good places to get a growler filled in Nashville. Tobacco Road in Berry Hill will fill your growler and give you a cigar.
