    Hi all,

New to posting on here so sorry in advance for any ignorance or faux pas. Going to be taking a trip and passing through the greater Philly area. RR puts out a distributor list in the Philly area but after looking deeper into a handful of these places, none of them seem to have any RR brews on tap or in their stores. I would love to find either a Whole Foods/Wegmans (which they list as having their beers) or a nice beer bar to grab some on my way through. The most I have seen is Supplication in 1 or 2 places but I am really looking for PTE or even Blind Pig.

Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks

First off, use the forum search feature to seek out similar threads in this forum. To say the least, your question comes up all the time.

Next, bottles of Pliny and BP are not shipped to SEPA, so you'll only find them on tap. The distributor only gets a single RR shipment a month, and most places that get kegs of RR stuff, tend to run through it pretty quickly. So don't be surprised if you experience some difficulty finding it around town. That being said, Teresa's Next Door and Monks are both places that seem to be well supplied when it comes to RR stuff, so I would consider looking there.

    Good luck.

Monks is a good bet. I feel like they have pliny on tap about 70% of the time i'm there... and if they don't, the usally have blind pig.

    TJ's is another option.

Wegmans and Whole Foods in the area will more then likely only have Damnation. Do not expect them to carry any of the sours.

No matter which place(s) you chose to go to, I would highly recommend that you call first to confirm they still have the Russian River beer you are interested in. A limited supply of Russian River beer is sent to the Philly area and it moves fast!!

    Cheers!

From my experience Whole Foods gets the sours in, but they're usually gone pretty damn quick. Often times not even needing to be put on the shelf.

Another option is Capone's. He manages to get the sours in pretty regularly - both in the bottle shop and in the restaurant.

To the OP, you could watch the updates here, but realize this goes out to an email list every week:

I love TJs, but any Russian River stuff is few and far between and usually saved for special events. Pliny and Bling Pig are rarely even seen any more.

Anyone go the POPE's RR event last night? Consecration, Supplication, PtE, & PtY all on tap.

I am surprised they kept younger that long before tapping it.

    Yeah, I agree.

I know they done that before, wanting to be the "last" place to have it I guess.
