It's a "sitting" but it's not a "serving"... If I don't own any glassware that'll fit it, then it's not a serving. Largest glass I own is a 20oz imperial pint, so that's the cutoff. It's just how I do my check-ins.

Narrowing down your top 10 to actually 10 is an interesting exercise. Crazy when you see what gets left out.

 

Crap guys, I go on work travel for 3 days and think "I better check in on locals". 10 pages? You monsters!

Finally, grabbing my last three months Casey allotment on Saturday, and then coincidentally, sending a box off to the winner of my #HunaDayLif. Get ready @XlCool! Pretty sure @Devman171 and @valrxman were there helping to bring the number to your guess!

Finally, I'll leave you with a text I recently received from a buddy in Denver regarding upcoming beers from Casey... We live in interesting times.

"Talked with one of the crooked stave brewers that had Casey's new cut cherry beer. He said it was the best American kriek he's ever had. Also said Troy's planning on charging $40/bottle haha"

 

So I figured I would follow up on my Fed Ex Saga:

3 boxes out for delivery change to exception status.

I call today...

FE: Ok we can put a trace on the boxes. What was in them?
Me: Um Glassware
FE person 2: Hi, I am calling you about the trace on the bottles. Can you tell me what was in them?
Me: (hold to the lie): Glassware
FE: Glassware? Oh looks like they were flagged for alcohol. I will call the station and see if they were disposed of.
Me: Fuck
FE person 3: Hi I am Troy. Um your packages had beer in them and you did not indicate that these required a signature, so they can't be delivered without a signature from someone over 21. You see one of the boxes broke and then we looked in the other two, saw that they had beer and they got flagged and sent back to the Fed Ex station.
Me: Ok, so I would like to pick my property up please.
FE: Ok.
Me: All 3 boxes there?
FE: Let me check (note I am shortening this convo, 3 separate people called me about each separate box)
(waiting)
FE: Yes, they are all here
Me: Can my wife pick up the boxes I am out of town?
FE: Is she over 21?
Me: Way over.
FE: Sure thing

So my wife picks up the boxes and what appears to have happened is that the box where I (aggressively) put 36 cans in was busted because of the weight. No beer lost.

What was interesting is that at no time did the people at Fed Ex say that sending the beer was against their rules. They all said specifically that since I did not require a signature that they couldn't deliver it.

One of the Fed Ex people who called indicated that the box will be destroyed because it had alcohol. I immediately stated "why would you destroy my personal property?" That got silence, so I repeated those exact words. She stammered and said "well you can't send alcohol." I said that is fine, just allow me to pick up my property. I see no reason why you should destroy my personal property no matter what it is. She promptly called the station and I got Troy.

To make a long story short I didn't lose any beer (unless a can got loose, none broke). Good news for my circle jerk target.

 

It has evolved. I will be heading back over in a few weeks. Do you hear me @Devman171 I will be grabbing a few crowlers. Maybe 6 or so to send out.

 

Poor little soldiers.

 

@Devman171 is asleep, but I heard you. He gave me permission to have all boxes diverted to CO for inspection.

Does this mean pernil, maduros and real cubanos (ie - with the sweeter bread) are had regularly?
