    Longhorn Brewing is coming to Rockwall, at 1400 E. Interstate 30...there was a Legal Notice Application with the TABC recently in our local Rockwall newspaper. They put their phone number on Facebook earlier today, and I gave them a call. Nice guys...not looking to specialize in any particular style or brewing tradition...and they think they'll be opening in early summer.

    Finally a brewery almost next door to my place-just hope the beers are good.
    I ran into these guys about this time last year at Mellow Mushroom in Spring. They were looking for investors and seemed to be very sharp guys (engineers and such). I gave serious thought-then lost my job in March 2014.. :slight_frown:

    Ha, thanks for that. I actually need to forward that onto another brewery who were thinking of getting into contact with Ft. Bend about their brewing equipment (so they know that there is no need).

    Where do you gather this information from? It seems like some of these are just homebrew that named their home brewery.

    That's an incredible number of new breweries. You got to wonder how many of these will actually make it to fruition..

    Just a list I have on the side.

    Yes, some are just homebrewers that use brewery....but it is more or less anything that is in any plan of being a brewery I have on there. Some will not come through (or may have already stopped, I just havent seen anything definitive yet). If I do find out one is just a home brewery and has no plans to become an actual brewery, I remove it.

    I am guesing maybe only 50% of them will ever actually go into anythign more. I just throw them on as I see them to keep track.
