I never said anything about "man up" just that 8oz pours or bottles are stupid.

I know that and wasn't singling you out in particular...it would have come along eventually.

    Cheers.

My beef is that they hard to travel with, meaning if I'm hiking and want a Ninja vs. Unicorn, I have to settle with All Day IPA.

I like bombers because sometimes 12 or 16 oz isn't enough...........

Prefer bombers. Perfect size for tasting a beer and then just sitting back and enjoying the rest. It's also an economical way to do tastings. I can pour more samples with only a few bottles and I can pour a bit more to participants without worrying about running out.

Agreed. If the price was the same per ounce as a 12oz format, I would drink only bombers. Since the price is about 3x more expensive ($2 for one 12oz, $12 for one bomber), I never buy a bomber unless it is less than $8, which means I rarely buy bombers. Pumpking is about the only one I buy anymore.

At a buddies house recently, he busted out a few of the old Rogue XS series bottles, 7oz. We were trying to dent his cellar, and we opened a bunch of different formats and styles. Those 7ozers were just right right for trying lots of stuff on a random Wednesday afternoon. The 22s were why we ended up drunk.

Margins are bigger on bombers & I would imagine allow breweries to grow more quickly and expand their distribution along with that growth. I'm ok with bombers and 750s.

I have no problem especially if it's a beer I am having for the first time. I don't have any stores in my area that do mixed six-packs but I would prefer 12 ounce bottles or cans for first time beers.

Didn't know such a place existed @Beef_Curtains. I go to Binny's and see single 12 oz bottles but assumed they were part of a build your own 6 pack. I haven't seen much in that section that intrigues me but will give it a closer look. Thanks for the idea.
