Beachwood BBQ Beer Releases Thread

Do you want me to blow all of my money at Beachwood? Cellarmaker and Beachwood are two of my favorite breweries. Now if they had Alpine on at the same time as the other three? Lawd have mercy

 

Agree @UnknownKoger. But I would have to question most of Alpine drafts these day. Yes still good. But not Alpine delicious. IMO of course. But I'll be in NYC all of this week. So I will miss out on the Cellermaker beers.

 

Went and had two new beers on: LBC IPA and La Cabra. LBC IPA is fantastic. Another typical, delicious Beachwood IPA. La Cabra is their first attempt at a weizenbock, and I was really impressed with it. Sweet malts and full bodied. It's fantastic. I'd love to do a side-by-side of La Cabra and Vitus.

Tart Simpson is coming up soon and Citraholic is next week. Yum

 

Looking forward to filing up with LBC IPA this weekend, iI'm glad to hear its as good as it sounded.

Hey Beachwood, did you downgrade your chips that use in nachos? You went from the high quality fried tortilla chips to these paper thin disgusting chips. What gives?

 

God I hope not. Are they like Tostitos now? Fml

 

They are absolutely terrible now. I'm so perplexed. I've been there 100s of times over the years and in the past year they started to use chips worse than tostitos.

 

Citraholic will be released on Tuesday.

 

Hopefully this is a one time we ran out of chips deal. If I order nachos and they coke out like that ok sending the shit back.

 

So true, they used to have those crazy chips that were almost like fried wontons. The shit they use now is Taco Bell quality. No longer the BNOAT, unfortunately.

 

Next thing you know, they'll start using gooey cheese spunk on top of the chips. And the server will ask if you want to supersize your order.

 

The quality has gone down hill. I'm probably in the top 5 in lifetime spend at Beachwood and I'm extremely disappointed. Not sure how a foodie like Gabe would let this happen. A lot of the great managers and servers have since move on but the changing the quality of food is plain wrong. Those must be the single worst chips I've ever had in my once top rated nachos in the US.

 

Is this chip change a very recent development? My GF and I ordered the BBQ Chicken Nachos when we were there in February and we both thought they were delicious (especially the chicken). The chips themselves tasted homemade to me.

Back to beer...I'm really hoping Street 3, Block 2 will be on tap when I'm there in April. The beer and the name itself sounds like it's gonna be like Row 2, Hill 56 from Russian River which is one of my favorites.

 

I went like a bit over a month ago and the chips were still good

 

It Is like row 2, street 3 is a simcoe hopped pale.

Man, I really hope they didn't change the chips permanently! I loved those homemade chips so much I used to just get those and A side of their guacamole to snack on.

 

I just want them to bring back the meat pies

 

BBQ nachos are one of the worst. They went and changed the chips last year around Oct or Nov at he SB location. Maybe instead of buying cheaper brand chips they should of raised the $$s. Bad move. What's next? Hops from China?

 

Y'all are ruthless, when did this become chipadvocate?

 

Need you guys to write Yelp reviews for the change in chips! Let Gabe know how you guys feel!

 

Or... next time you order the nachos and find the chips still to be unsatisfactory, eat every single thing on that plate except the chips.

EDIT: I believe this has never been done in the entire history of nachos.
