I'm just curious if there are any BA's in Wichita Falls TX? I was out there today for work and I stopped at a United grocery store. After quickly browsing their BMC selection someone stopped me and said if your looking for a better selection try Market Street on the other side of town. Long story short I go to Market Street to find 2 Buddha's Brews sitting on the shelves. I snatched those up, found the beer guy and learned they were buying Jester King for a couple of their customers. I'm out in Wichita Falls about every other month and thought if would be cool to meet up with who ever you are. I always thought this was a beer wasteland... and I guess it still is. But if you need anything from Dallas I'm willing to bring it your way. Drink Up, -Matt
Whoa... Buddha in that town?!? Impressive. I am from Amarillo and I was there a couple of months ago. Needless to say, it was hard to find anything good. I did notice that the Panhandle gets a nice selection of Rogue beers. There wasn't much beyond that.
There was nothing other than the Buddha. There has to be a beer nerd out there and hopefully they're on here.
Damn you Matt! I go to Wichita Falls about once a month to look for beer and have never seen any Jester King. Market Street has gotten a ton better in the last 2 months or so. Local boys liquor off of Kemp is starting to pick up also. Occasionally Koch's liquor gets in a few decent things as well but are more pricey than the other two.
I live in Burkburnett and often go to Local Boys (on southwest parkway) to discover new brews. They've really expanded their selection in the past few weeks.
If youre around at a time agreeable to my schedule, Ill buy you a pint at Back Porch or Ganche. Things are getting good here in Wichita Falls.
Sounds like a plan!! If you ever make it up to Lawton make sure you stop at cache road liquor! Also, Backporch in lawton is doing an Anthem tap takeover after the red river craft beer festival and Chung's is having an after party with KBS and Blushing monk
I'm originally from The Falls...and still have family there. I'm surprised and impressed that Backporch there has pretty good stuff on everytime I'm there. A far cry from what I associate with the town. I hope the craft seen keeps up there.
