What time did DLD end last year? I don't remember anything from sunset on.

Shuttles between DLD <-> The Beer Temple are available. The booking site is a bit messed up. It says sold out but if you click availability and scroll to and click on April 25 you can see/purchase tickets there. Just saw some were still available.

I dunno, maybe the 3 Floyds guys are fans of Big Freedia? Or maybe it's a "screw you" to everyone who reacted so angrily to Big Freedia being included on the DLD music roster? Or a political statement of sorts in response to all the stuff going on recently in 3 Floyds' home state?

Whatever the reasoning, I think it's great.

Yeah, it's not really my type of music (from the little I listened to on YouTube), but I actually think it'll work really well at DLD. For those that don't like metal, it'll be an interesting change of pace, and maybe amp up the vibe? Who knows.

Where in north Hammond are you looking? If by Calumet Ave and the toll road the Ramada is ok. I would avoid the other 2

Probably a political statement. Making a beer is fine but polluting the air with Big Freedia's noise is disappointing.

I really wish I had have been able to make it to Dark Lord Day before this nonsense.

THIS is why I hope it's a "screw you" to the angry folks. My four-year-olds are more mature about stuff they don't like.

This reminds me of the close-minded poster from a few pages ago in this thread. Oh wait...

I probably. No... I definitely missed any mentions of the Hampton inn bottle share. We will likely buy everyone pizzas again.

Omg. Beer. Pizza. People I don't know!

I'm not angry. I'm disappointed. There's a difference. I'm disappointed for a lot of reasons that it's taken me this long to get to Dark Lord Day. The inclusion of some trash "music" is only part of it.

To me this is a one time event only now. I'm glad I'm going, but I doubt I'll ever need to partake again.

The funny part about this is how you made an account a month ago and are trying to act like you have any idea what you're talking about.

I'm not about to defend my absence on Beer Advocate for the last six or so years to some random internet tough guy like yourself. I will say though that as this board's community grew it became less interesting, and that's why I haven't bothered with it in so long and once Dark Lord Day is over I'll be gone again.

Your comment about Budweiser is telling though. I'd wager a large sum of money that you're the typical former swill-swallower that now likes to pretend that he never regularly drank the macro garbage and roll out the "yeah but you were drinking Bud!" comments in some attempt to deflect attention away from your own beer origins.

Yeah, I listen to playlists with George Crumb, Current 93, The Birthday Party, Charlie Parker, Sir Lord Baltimore, and Tom Waits all mixed with hundreds of other artists from tons of other genres but I'm closed-minded about music because I don't like this repetitive noise Lol, unreal.

It's good to know I will find like minded people at Big Freedia's stage. This is my first (and maybe only) DLD, seeing the obvious politics behind this booking makes me very happy.

    Off-topic question:

Do you think that stadium that Stan Kroenke says he's planning to build in Inglewood will actually get built?

From what everyone is saying and hearing, yes. The Rams are coming to Inglewood.

Cool, thanks for answering. Don't want to clog things up with football talk though.

Yea basically super 8 or ramada, both look about the same and same reviews, but 8 is about 30 dollars cheaper. Experience?
