I just got a 4 pack from Wegman's in Fairfax. They are at the customer service desk. $21.99 same as Whole Food's. So there is another retailer not gouging. I asked how much they had left and they said 4 4-packs, and they were unsure if there was more in the back. My guess is no. They could be all gone by now, so give them a ring. The person that picked up when I called knew exactly what I was talking about so none of this "what's that you're looking for now?"

Its this years. 1 West Dupont is notorious for thier price gouging. They have DL, Darkness, BCBS Verticals, BA Abraxas all for over $100 each (sometimes well over).

If that is the case, my collection of mostly non-rare beer(about 40) is for sale for 2 grand

    Actual retail value: probably $100.

TW McLean still has two cases and change. Still the same 1 bottle ($6) limit others reported from earlier. They also had Lickinghole Creek Illuminatos at the front desk. Not sure how much was left on that.

With all this insanity I'm so glad I got to have some on tap. I can say I've had some, and wasn't blown away by it. I'll never have to worry about getting it home safe or aging it properly or figuring out the perfect occasion to crack it open.

I've had good luck with whales at CT ave liquors in dupont. They had several bottles of Backwoods for $5 each, which is a pretty good deal. BCBS for $7 (better than KBS IMO), and Victory at Sea (back when it wasn't that easily found in DC) for $11.

Thanks for the tip, I work next door and was able to stop by and pick up a 4-pack. I drank one earlier tonigh, its a very good beer, I'm glad I have a couple more, but I most definitely don't think its worth much more effort than I put into it. I actually saw someone on facebook asking if they should take off work to hunt for it. It is a very easy drinking BA stout though, I think I could drink all 4 in one go.

illuminatos is hiding under the radar, but that could be the sleeper release of the spring. they only made 2,000 bottles and it is getting rave reviews.

By Arlington do you actually mean Alexandria? I don't think there's a TW in Arlington.

Also, I'm not desperate enough to do this, but how do the box stores like that prevent people from going back and buying a second or third single bottle?
