A friend's daughter is in Belgium for a semester of college. With minimal research it sounds like you have to go to St. Sixtus, how do you get info on calling the 'beerphone' to set up an appointment. Sounds like there may be another option from reading comments in this thread. Any details on giving her specific info about getting some for her father and I would be appreciated.

Through a friend that knows someone that lives in Belgium. We have ordered 2 cases in the past and its always a little scary when the box sits in NY while passing through customs.

People I work with went on business trip to Belguim. Brought 1 bottle back for me (I paid them well in return).

If she's in or near Brussels there is a place called the Bier Tempel about a block or so from the Grand Place where they often have it. Probably about 12 Euros per bottle and they put it in a nice protective mesh bottle sleeve for you when you buy it.

I'm hoping to trade for some rather than having to pony up for shipping.

I gave my local brewery the recipe and they brew it for me on their pilot system. its about 3 barrels worth. After paying the brewery about $12 / bottle, I sell the bottles out of my beer cellar for about $30 bucks a pop. I don't have to work.

I don't get it lol and most likely won't try it anytime soon. If I do it will be out of someone's generosity.

Everyone says abt 12 is close enough with no hype. Is what it is.

Belgium in a box a year or so ago. It was actually a good experience. I wasn't expecting much.

Also, it's the "original" Westy 12. For anyone that is unaware.
