    Who's going?
What's the best way to prep for this thing outside of getting transportation?
Mow down a huge lunch and drink 2 gallons of water before?
My first beer fest, and I need to be strong and on point ALL day. Thx

Eat a big breakfast. Start hydrating at least 48 hours in advance and drink plenty of water while you're there. PACE YOURSELF.

Its about a week out now, hope to see the beer list soon. Got VIP, and looking forward to hanging out there with friends. Should be a great day.

I'll be there (working, enjoying later) and I +1 the hydration thoughts...Chad and Nellie do it right! Top 5 Beer Festival in the Nation!

I will be there as well.

I have had the most fun at these beer festivals when I walk out remembering it all. Pacing is key. Enjoying the beer is key. And not drinking just to drink is most important.

How did you get VIP? I feel like those sold out immediately.

On that note, I'm taking the wifey down...she loves quads and stouts.
So I'm a little nervous how she's going to be functioning by the end of the day.

    I'm a non-VIP'er and I plan on getting there @ 1:30.
How can they not have a complete list up? That's a tad bit ridiculous.

I'll be there too- super psyched for festival season! I think the best piece of advice I can give w/ festivals is to be selective with beers that you drink and pace yourself. It's far too easy to try and drink everything in sight when you first arrive cause you're just excited to be there. Try to find the beers you haven't had, can't find, or have been wanting to try. Also, chat it up with ppl that work for the breweries at the booths- they will have recommendations for their own products, as well as what other breweries are pouring that may be worth seeking out.

They will put it up the week of. A lot of it comes down to either what gets label approvals, what comes into the distributor, and what specials the breweries decide to throw their way.

Maybe if we are real nice, a certain lurker with inside information may give us some hints, or even post the link to the beer list here first.

This festival is amazing. I prepare myself by drinking every night to increase my tolerance...I do that anyway though :slight_frown:
Make a pretzel necklace to put around your neck. They work wonders.

    Yeah...Had planned on making that.

I'm curious to see the list...and to see how much of the rare stuff is completely annihilated in the hour before the commonfolk are allowed in.

If you don't arrive until 1:30 you may have to wait in a line to get in. We love BTBF and even as VIP I try to get there 30-45 minutes early to line up. Def do the pretzel necklace, take the time to talk to brewers, don't yell and jeer when people drop glasses, it gets very annoying quickly. Def pace yourself, drink water, eat something after a few hours, buy a shirt, try the free samples for non-beer as you will find some cool stuff there too. Basically just have fun and don't be a drunk a-hole and you will be super happy with your experience.

Eat a big brunch, drink a bottle water half way through the event, and pace yourself. Coming in from TN, I was too excited for beer fest season had to buy tickets. Looking forward to trying craft beers from Texas! I haven't had many, anybody got any suggestions on cant miss booths?

Nothing really standing out for me after a QUICK rundown. Not sure what I was expecting... But all the out of area breweries seem to only have their middle of the road stuff.

I got spoiled with CBS and KBS yesterday at the Moth.
8 glasses deep. Wifey and I teamed up to put the CBS quarter keg out if it's misery.
    That stuff is truly ridiculous.

There are some standouts for me, including JK MvB, BA Ten Fidy, a New Holland TBD and Legion with Raspberries...
