went to a store where the guy does shady business (makes you buy shelf beer to get limited releases, etc) and saw it on the shelf for 15.99, which i thought i would pick up. got to counter, and guy says "ya know that is 19.99"..after i said it said 15.99 on shelf, he said it had same UPC as the BA stout. i didnt make a scene, but just said "okay i'll put it back." guy has done shady business for a while now, and this was probably the last straw after i havent been to his store for this very reason in 3 months. oh well!

What a dick he is. You should mention that store's name and location here. That way others can avoid that place too. Cheers to you!

Place is called Bobs Liquors in Leesburg, FL. Guy has done shady stuff for white some time. In order to get 2 Bcbs you had to buy one of the sister goose beers at 20.00/bottle which I didn't do. He suddenly said he has an exclusive beer club that he said is for people who spend 500.00/month and 1000.00/month. But the thing js he doesn't get that many rare beers in valued to spend that kind of money. I could understand if he had constant stock of cantillon or high priced beers but for the most part, he gets shelf stuff like jai alai, wake n bake type beers. There is no way he has customers spending that kind of money on shelf beers every month. Not to Mention, his "beer club" which I think is totally fabricated story, showed beers like Ba narwhal and big Luscious...which were on a shelf down here in Florida for quite some time. He has gotten me before when I don't care about a couple bucks here and there for a specific beer, but not anymore! I have helped him choose what beer to get in that would sell, only to see it posted on his Facebook without even letting me know about it. And for high end bourbon, he does auctions and people from all over Florida and Georgia come down and buy the Pappy Van winkle at an astronomical price. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but I think I'm going to stay away from This store from now on.

I'm making absolutely zero comment on any sort of pricing/retail behavior, but I should mention that all of the beers in the Imperial Stout X series are priced on the same pricing tier to our distributors as our Limited Release Smokestack Series beers like Saison-Brett, Rye-on-Rye, Bourbon Barrel Quad, and Imperial Stout.

And the smokestack beers at this store are all 15.99, respectively. The problem I see in this guy's logic is that he said the X coffee has the same upc as the whiskey imperial stout....so wouldn't that be hard to order te beer frkm distributors and wouldn't it have the same price as the whiskey Ba stout if that was the case?

Smokestack Series Limited Release beers all have the same SKU.

yeah, that guy can eat a dick. I don't even spend 500 every month with a Hoarders Society membership and I buy a good bit of beer.

That's a huge markup. They are all the same price from distro, so there's no reason to mark one up more than another. We charge $12.99 and make a nice profit. $3 more is just outrageous.
