No, I went last year, and if you eat a big breakfast, drink water after each beer and drink in moderation there will be no problems at all. This isn't a college frat party where you need to go out and slam as many beers as possible.

 

This. Just because you take a pour doesn't mean you need to finish the whole thing. It's a tasting, not a kegger. Don't be afraid to take small pours, spit, dump beer you're done with, etc.

Agreed. First Dark Lord Day in 2011, this guy was passed out under a tree somewhere in the business park by noon. First festival experience and lesson learned.

 

I'm bringing a 4 pack of Carton Boat beer (4.2% ABV) and 1 high ABV bottle to share. Also bringing a bottle stop in case I dont go through the bottle in the first sitting. Figure the rest of the stuff I'm trying will be at the tents.

 

Anyone else going to be at the HI Express in Merrillville, and if so, would be in for a small bottle share?

 

Hey guys any word on if beer will be available at the brewery friday? There is talk of loading up local stores but I'd rather not have to go hunting for the beer if I can get it at the brewery friday.

 

I'm staying at the Super 8 in Hammond Friday and Saturday night. Planning on hitting up 18th street Friday. Wanted to get more KBS for sharing at DLD and got rear ended on the way. Still got my KBS a though.

@RayOhioFelton pretty sure I read somewhere they are selling at the brewery Fri and Sunday. Don't remember where I read it though, but it was something from them not just speculation.

 

Have you stayed at this super 8 before, thinking about doing the same since it's in between 18th and fff?
