Is there anything out there that is somewhat comparable to this that is year round? I received one in a trade, found three at a local bar that has to go bottles and I've drank them all. This shit is like crack.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

Problem is its gonna be hard to find an easy drinking 17% barrel aged imperial stout thats available year round.

But right off the top of my head if your just looking for another big/abv easy drinking imperial stout thats somewhat available year round you could try DFH World Wide Stout (18%) or Avery Mephistopheles. (16%)

Haven't had WWS, but I will agree with you on the Mephistopheles...kinda forgot about that one. I need to check around and see if there are any left in the area.

IS WWS stout easy to get a hold of?

Shouldnt be too hard. Usually when DFH bottles something they bottle a lot of it...

But they are pricey. (Mephistopheles price range)

But neither of them come close to Uncle Jacobs...

Still cheaper than Uncle Jacobs. $12.00 a bottle, but worth every fucking penny!

If it's the only one you have, be prepared to go in to hunt mode for more. Seriously, it's that good.

I picked up 2 bottles of Uncle Jacobs, the fresh one that I drank blew my face off, it was incredible, I can't wait to see how the other one does with some years on it.

This beer is far superior to WWS and Meph IMO. If anyone still has it on their shelf I'd be willing to trade for at least 4-5 bottles.

Sweet bourbon bomb. If I want that I'll drink bourbon.

Still I polished off my bottle pretty quickly...unsure if I'd buy another at $11.99 (fortunately my area only got 1-2 cases total).

Was it a brewery only release?
I'm trying to justify a trip to Tampa as I'm in south Florida about 4 hours away.
I'm gonna have to make it one of these days.
I could even stop at Saint Somewhere on the way. =)

Had this last night at an Avery beer dinner and man is it tasty. Glad I have some stashed in the cellar.

The beer spreadsheet say Florida gets limited of avery, anyone know what we get. Then the question is what does Jacksonville get.:slight_frown: I sure like to try a 17% beer, sounds fun.

BrewDog Tokyo* is pretty good and seems somewhat easy to find, though it was supposedly a one-time brew.
