Just opened a bottle of 2014 last week. Was fantastic and is further proof that FW has the Kung-fu grip on BA!

I love the sweet and savory taste of stickee monkee. That Mexican brown sugar makes it a great pairing with pork.

I loved Stickee Monkee. It is really sweet out of the bottle when fresh but just a few months does wonders and really balances it out.

Going to try it this year passed it up last year. It did not sit very long, about 2 weeks and it was gone. I've tried a few quads since then so I am looking forward to trying this.

Saw you are in Arizona and was just curious what are the 2 places you mentioned that are having the FW night? Sounds like a great line up.

After reading about SM on the sheet that comes with the Anniversary beers, I knew I would love it. My brother and I finally found a bottle at a bar ($40!!) a few months ago and split it. It was delicious. In the process of trading for another bottle, and looking forward to trying it again! Hope to snag a bottle of this year's batch at some point, too.

Tried some at the Barrelworks today. Not nearly as sweet this go around. Still smells like banana laffy taffy, though, which is awesome.

The 2015 version or an aged 2014 keg?

The lady behind the bar said it was a lot less sweet than last year's batch, so I assume it's the new one. Also, I'm pretty sure it had 2015 next to it on the chalkboard (don't hold me to that though).

Taste on Tops and Yucca Tap Room in Tempe. One is on Tues, the other is on Wed don't remember which one is which. Pretty much the same lineup, but one of them will have the Stickee Monkee and the other will have the Velvet Merkin in place of that. Both sound nice. Mr. Walker will be there too.

Thanks for the scoop! These sound like great events. I checked both their websites and didn't see any announcements so will have to give them a call to see which is which. Thanks again

I don't consider it to be of any Belgian style. I was hoping for a Quad when first bought, but it's not a Quad at least in the traditional sense. Will need to try one of my '14.

    I loved last year's.

And I preferred it over any of the others. Too sweet? Not for me, I felt it was perfectly sweet. I had a Chocolate Rain last summer with buddies and was the only one that felt it was too sweet, for a frame of reference.

Awesome stuff! Had it at the brewery taproom in January and am looking forward to getting it in bottles.

Didn't buy a bottle last year but had it on tap at uncle Henry's and thought it was great. It seemed more barelywine to me also.
