You nailed it! herrburgess is spot on - Malzmuehle is the best Kölsch in Cologne IMHO! Wonderful stuff. I think Paeffgen is second, also very nice.

You looked for Heisler Gold Ale? That's a tuffy. Fictional beers are the ultimate whalez, bro. :grinning:

Just got to know where to look. Of course, if you want it in a 40 (BB-38) or in cans (BC-14), you're better off here.

Currently drinking a Lawn Seat Kolsch from the new Great Lakes Spring variety pack. Very nice, the sweetness of a Kolsch is different and a nice change of pace.

On a gorgeous, lazy Sunday afternoon a Kolsch can hit just the right spot! Brand new from Half Acre on Friday

Kolsch is probably my favorite hot weather style. I wish more breweries made them.

Kolsch is great. Perfect during the summer. As easy as they are to find pretty much anywhere, schlafly kolsch and north coast scrimshaw pils become staples of mine in the spring and summer

Drinking kölsch in Cologne changed my perspective of the style. What I once thought was a generally "nice" refresher for warm days turned into not just a refresher, but a great alternative to stronger pale ales. Sometimes you want a lighter flavor in a beer, but done well, and fresh kölsch delivers that.

A few weeks ago, I followed a sign on the side of the road to a brewery I'd never heard of in a country I'd never been to. It was warm out and I was in the mood for something light to drink on the beach, so I asked the bartender what they had that fit the bill. He gave me an amber, a pale ale, and a kolsch.

The kolsch came home with me.

Just recently have had the new Lawn Seat Kolsch from Great Lakes, and Lift from Madtree....both delicious beers, and great for warmer weather!

There's a local brewery that has a Kolsch as pretty much their flagship beer (Midnight Brewing - New Beginnings) and have done very well with it. Not only does a kolsch have great depth in flavor (as to satisfy the discerning drinker), yet approachable enough to make a super gateway beer. It's certainly one of my favorite underrated Euro styles, right up there with kristalweiss and bier de garde. I just hope nobody see it fit to create an "imperial" kolsch....

I was pretty impressed by GL Lawn Seat. Pretty authentic and obviously super fresh. How is the Lift? I'm not sure if they hold it out as a kolsch or not but the color looks a little dark.

Your wish is my uncommand. You might ask where you can find such a beast. Well, it's right there in its natural habitat - at the number 1 spot for kolsch on this site. The drinking public has spoken. Did I mention it's loaded with Nelson Sauvin? So it goes...
