I'm the friendly moderator here on BA, and it's come to my attention that there has been some anti southern rhertoric spewed amongst the glorious pages of this here site.

This thread has been reported, and as a southerner, and a boys raised a proper Texan.. ( yes, Texan is capitalized)...

I take offense to these transgressions.

Please follow the terms of service of this site, which I wasn't allowed to be part of, which shall include "don't talk shit about the south".. and I will be able to forgive and overlook the issues I see here at hand.

If you continue to act out.. I'll be forced to moderator your porch.

Congrats...this is the first comment from south that concerns me....

 

That part is not a shot, it is our way of sharing some of the glories of the south with our northern "friends". Some of y'all will find some wondrous things in these boxes... things you Yankees may not fully appreciate. But try to expand those liberal minds and give these symbols of the south a chance. Enjoy, and when you decide to defect we just might listen to your plea.

 

OK so after catching up on a shitkilo of posts and messages... time for pRon ... these Southern guys aren't totally useless, since I arrived home to find a box containing the following message...

Since you don't believe in the glory that is propane, or lump charcoal, we understand you haven't had the time or funds to go buy some beer due to shoveling snow, and buying heating oil. We've been stocking up on sunscreen.... and beer.

We are here to let you know, that while we talk slow, and perhaps funny. While we may or may not be mad about losing the war a 100 or so years ago, and while we might not be so sophisticated, we sure do know how to pack a damn box of beer. We love our beer down here in Gods country, and we know the best way to enjoy it, is with family, smoked meats, big laughs, and friends, and you certainly fit the bill, friend. So here's a box of goodness from the dirty south!

And remember, all your porch are belong to us!

Burnt Hickory Old Wooden Head - that's the one with the picture of @cultclassic89 on it
Burnt Hickory Didjits Lovesicle Blood Orange IPA- cool name, that's for sure
Stone Imperial Russian Stout - 2012 and 2014 -- Kyle's trying to take my vertical cherry (that sounds really bad)

Those 5 are all new to me, and while the Brick Mason seems real new the other four are all rated 93% or better on BA

And at the far end,
New Glarus Raspberry Tart- whle Kyle made sure not to send anything I had ticked, he didn't know my inventory -- this is my second one of these, so will probably get forwarded to someone else
Bell's Jupiter- ditto on the inventory comment

followed by the cans and miscellanea...

Orpheus Transmigration of Souls - I've heard a lot about this one, and looking forward to it - just have to wear my Orpheus shirt
Creature Comforts Tropicalia - another one that sounds right up my alley
Creature Comforts Athena - a Berliner Weisse that I might save for a while -- gotta prioritize them thar IPA's

along with a jar of Williamson Bros. Bar-B-Q Sauce (I sense a theme here) and a little rubber ducky (which may be in there by mistake, I have no clue).

A little update:
I have been trying to land a job at my local distributor as a sales rep. Well, its been a very long hiring process, but I'm at the final stages of the process and expecting a job offer soon!
Haven't been so active on here or anywhere really..
Anyways, I know I owe some of you boxes, and I will be getting them out to you as soon as life lets me. Money is kinda tight right now and I have a child who will be turning 6 on the first of May! (bills and the family come first)

I realize it's almost 150 years to the day that we laid down the smack on the South, but we're always keen to remind you of that dun dun fact.

I'll defend my brethren to the best of my abilities...my Northern porch bombing abilities and our superior firepower should not be trifled with nor underestimated. We'll leave my modding power out of this.
