So far that sounds really good. I enjoy those styles (love that they have a dubbel) and the earlier hours for game days and weekends. I might have to swing by this weekend.

1/2 mile is too far for me... :astonished: but since I am only 3 blocks away.... Anyone going to go opening night?

Finally got into Beryl's the other night and was very impressed with the offerings. Had a tasty ba export stout in fireside barrels and a crushable blonde ale. Add it to the RiNO must stops.

I was there last back at the end of last summer - I remember thinking "this WILL be good" so I wanna go back and check again.

Planning on checking out Spanglang on Friday.

I had the same thoughts. I wonder if they aspire to do a big bourbon barrel aged RIS or a Barleywine because that will get my ass in a seat.

So, what they're saying is - that they'll be serving craft beer.

I think their strength is also their weakness. Most of what they have on tap are their base beers, and simply put - just aren't as great, as their barrel-aged variants. They need some more sessionable/palatable stuff as well.

No offense, but thier dampfber is very easy to drink as a light steam beer, their esb only clocks in around 4.5, and the oaked riga baltic porter 6.5% also goes down way to easy. I'm not saying they're the best brewery in town or even down in RiNO, but they def have some tasty easy to drink stuff IMO. Just my 2cents agree to disagree.

I'll be there tonight around 7:30. I'll be the white guy with a moustache arriving from a kickball game via bicycle. There could also be 10 people there matching that description.

Just booked a trip out to Colorado in August. I'll be in Ft. Collins, Denver and Boulder. Anyone recommend must stop breweries other than Odell, New Belgium, Avery, Strange Craft, and Oskar Blues?

Equinox (get Space Ghost IPA) and Horse & Dragon in Fort Collins.

There are many other threads in the Mountain forum with this very same question. It's worth a search since it's a bit off topic in here.

Comrade and Crooked Stave as mentioned, and Cannonball Creek in Golden isn't far from Denver. They are really under the radar but making some of the best clean beers in CO. Zwei Bruder in FoCo for excellent lagers, Verboten & Grimm Bros. in Loveland if you want to venture south. Definitely go to Backcountry Pizza & Taphouse in Boulder and Tap & Handle in FoCo for amazing draft and bottle selections.

Strange is a "must stop" brewery?

I was out there about a year ago and really like their beer and taproom. It's probably not considered a "must stop" to most but I'll make the trip since I'll be in the area. Strange won gold at World Beer Cup for their Cherry Kriek.
