Well, after you add vanilla, chilies, and sugar to the mix....

Not from the IL (northwestern IN), but UPS just dropped mine off. I don't think there was a choice to pick UPS vs USPS explicitly, but I did choose 2 Day Air, so not shocked it came UPS.

You must have missed the options near the bottom of the purchase page. There was a choice. I was gonna go with UPS, too. But since the regular mail option was only $2 and the tickets should get to us long before DLD anyway, my friend (who was at my place buying his own set of DLD tickets using my wifi) and I chose regular mail. I'm a little jealous of everyone that picked the faster options, tho. It would be nice to join in on the little happiness that finally seeing your DLD tickets bring.

Yeah, definitely don't remember that haha. Every time I get tickets I always choose the faster option. Once I get within a month of the event and I don't have tickets in hand I start to get anxious and quickly jump to conclusions assuming that they have been lost in the mail.

Now I can finally focus on the important things like performing ritualistic sacrifices to appease the Golden Ticket Scratch Off Gods!

I wonder if Snapchat will add one of those stickers for DLD... It would be trippy if they create one.

Has anyone heard where the non-Dark Lord 3F bottles will be available locally since they're not for sale inside the event?

Just the normal spots according to their update.

I am only going on saturday, coming from Grand rapids. Where would the best "normal" spots be? Looking for anything that I can't get in michigan, thanks.

Don't suppose you're making it into Chicago proper? A lot of the best normal spots would be found there.

I'm pretty familiar with all the Chicago spots, not really looking to head into the city, maybe I will just hit the suburbs. Also thinking about stopping at 18th street.

I was under the impression that "local merchants" meant in or around Muenster.

    ditto.

So what are some of the usual places in the City to find some?

Yeah, I wasn't saying make an extra trip in, if you weren't planning to already.

That was my assumption too, I've just always heard that FFF is easier to get a hold of in Chicago than most other places outside FFF itself.

    Liquor Stop in Highland
    Delock's in Munster
    Delock's in Dyer

Those are the three closest good bottle shops, usually they have a good selection of FFF bombers.

If you are coming up I-65 then Wise Guys would be worth checking out.

Add Akvavit Barrel to the list. Picture of the bottle on Mikkeller's instagram.

Hopefully this is some odd form of trolling.

I'm sure there's some universe where this produces a tasty beverage. We do not live in that universe.

Maybe it was just a very small batch? More likely just trolling. Akvavit is written in sharpie on the bottle, and I seriously doubt that all the BA bottles will be done by hand.

Pretty sure that's legit. Also, I really liked the Haand Aquavit Barrel-Aged Porter.

Google tells me that is basically what Malort is, maybe they saw the trolls asking for it last year, and responded.

Definitely looks legit. But I think I agree with whats stated above. Possibly a test batch or just something they let Mikkeller do with dark lord for their brewpub. Seems kinda odd to just have it hand written on the bottle with all the planning that goes in to dld.
