Went ahead and bought one today at Binnys - DG. Bottom of the label says
    2014 GABF Gold Medal Winner
Wood & Barrel-Aged Sour Beer Category.
Anybody else buy this or plan on buying it? I'm drinking one right now & it's not bad. Not worthy of a gold imo. There are much better barrel-aged sour beers again imo. Russian River, Side Project, The Bruery...etc

Drinking one now. I'm impressed to be honest. Complex for sure but delicious none the less. I'd suggest trying it. To anyone that's iffy.

I believe this was released as Fathom back in 2012. I haven't had the new batch, but I really liked the Fathom. Nothing over the top, but that's what I liked most about it: It was extremely well balanced hit all the right senses just enough.

It is Fathom, which was 2014 not 2012. And they had to change it to Sour #2 because when they brought it to GABF, Ballast Point threw a fit because they have a India Pale Lager called Fathom.

I'd like to imagine ballast point reps stomping their feet and getting red in the face while two brothers is just caught shrugging shoulders and moving on
