BCBS is by far easier to find by me and I'm happy about that bc IMO, it's better!- or at least has been for the past 2 years

It is. I muled for a group of guys from Pittsburgh at cost and was easily able to purchase 8 cases of BCBS, 1 case of BCBCS, 1 case of BCBBW (though I could and still can get much more) and 8 Vanilla Rye. It will sit on shelves all year round, and I have passed up on more BCBCS and BCBBW.

Kbs by a mile. In gr this stuff flows like water. I got 1 4pk of bcbs in michigan but a full case of kbs in 1 store and 3 more 4pks in another.

Here in the syracuse area KBS was tough to find. I was on two lists. Got nothing. I called in a favor to get some

BCBS was tough as well but nowhere as bad as KBS.

Most good beer I get are from friends who cover me. Going on a hunt here in syracuse? No way in hell. I've never succeeded. Even a few bottles of dogfish 120. Impossible. Ugh.

This and this 100% for Michigan. We get dicked on Goose allocations... which is fine by me until Black Friday comes then it's a nightmare. So close to Chi-Town. Yet, so far away.

Regular Bourbon County is easier to get than KBS...BCBS variants are the hardest to find.

Reading these posts make me love my city. Both were "easy" to get once they landed here, but BCBS is by far easier because you know the place and time of where it will be sold. KBS required calling the week it got in.

No, no. Vanilla Rye did NOT sit on shelves. But it was plentiful enough to get a good amount. A local bar got 3 cases. And I'm referring to NYC.

BCBS has become more readily available in the last couple years...though the varietals are another story...but its nice because BCBS is a much better beer than KBS. KBS is a solid BBL Aged Stout...BCBS is an experience.

You're not looking in the wrong places. It's uncommon to see any of this "sitting on the shelf" stuff for BCBS or KBS in the Northeast. We need to move to out-of-the-way places...

I think BCBCS VS KBS would be a better comparison.

No question. In California, KBS is not available at retail.

Definitely not buffalo. We got a good amount of the regular and barleywine but barely any coffee or vanilla rye

In ATL, KBS distribution is typically spread out over a week, making it possible to obtain bottles from multiple spots. BCBS distribution is limited to one day per year, Black Friday. (Mind you, this was our first year getting BCBS, although we've gotten BCBBW for two years.) Given the limited timeframe for BCBS release, I'm going to say that KBS is easier to obtain where I live even if the overall allocation may be smaller.

BCBS. I was able to buy a four pack. Only one bottle of KBS which came to me thanks to the generosity of a fellow BA who GAVE it to me after seeing me post a desire to have one.

I was able to get 8 bottles of KBS this year, but only 2 bottles of BCBS.

I was able to get 3 cases of BCBS in Boston. Was limited to one bottle KBS and got the last one at the store. I was drawn to another local liquor store, where I thought I would 'just check' and found three more bottles of KBS at $9 per bottle.
