I am just happy to have the Friendship Blend and whatever those three breweries feel like sharing.

Same here. It will be interesting to see how the 'rare' billing holds up against the beer geek's definition. I will have a great time regardless. Also it is disappointing to see the tickets being held hostage, though not surprising.

thanks man! someone hit me up and offered the tickets at face + me sending them 3-4 beers. I guess the beers I offered werent good enough cause they stopped responding. Then a nice young lady messaged me about her tickets and offered to sell them to me at face so ive got tickets now!!! :grinning: *phew*

Nice! I had several such conversations and they really soured me (excuse the pun) on the idea of going. So we made plans to visit some friends in Western Mass that weekend instead. I would have given anyone who sold me tickets a nice bottle or two, but people were asking for $75+ of rarish beers. Enjoy!

Blabaer and other commissioned beers wouldn't be an option obviously. Stuff like zwanze, older vintages, and experimental things like haute densite are beers that they pour at events/festivals.

Incidents like this should be reported.

BA forbids the use of its services for the resale of tickets at anything above face value or trading for tickets for equal (or lower) value.

agree totally. at 4oz samples and 700 people they would get about 6 pours per bottle and would need to bring a minumum of 120 bottles of each rare beer to the event. and I would assume they bring more so they can party with the folks who work at allagash. I doubt Cantillon has 120+ bottles of Blabaer lying around that they did not send to Jeppe.

I for one would be psyched and prefer it if it was some of the limited beers that they keep for on site consumption, but I have no clue what the production numbers are on the limited grape lambics are like carignon or Pinot D'ainus etc. Vintage stuff like 10 year old gueuze would also be amazing. I think they recently had/have 2006 Gueuze for on site consumption at the brewery. Zwanze 2014 would be neat since I missed the event due to a trip.

my idea of perfection would be zwanze 2014, one off grape lambic recently available for onsite only, 10 year old gueuze (sub in Iris grand cru for any beer mentioned)

Sadly I could only find myself to go with, bought my solo ticket, and put my other one back at see. Hope someone finds it in need.

In other news, looking for new friends to hang with during the event. Still locking down a hotel/plane ticket but I'll bring goodies.

I hope we can organize a small share before or after the evening session. I don't have a deep cellar, but I've got a waxed growler of Carton shipwreck porter I can bring for a share. It's an awesome rum barrel aged porter. My wife and I are planning on leaving PA around 8:30 saturday morning. Let's get something together! I've never been to an event like this, nor have I participated in a share at one(obviously). Maybe we can start a group message with people interested?

I'd likely be interested in a share after the night session. Thinking of maybe just heading to Novare as is.

I'll be at the Ramada in Portland. Not sure what the best location would or if anyone is willing to host.

@mlhyatt talked earlier in this thread about hosting a share at the Portland Harbor Hotel -- this is right where the shuttle picks up/drops off.

I was more suggesting it. Also, I'm not staying there either. But I can see if they will let us do it there, or we can try to do it at novare?
