It was at 1 West Dupont (I think also called P St Wine), which I'm sure is owned by the same person because both have a lot of the same out of market super high priced bottles.

Does it really require one? That'd be surprising and kind of counter productive.

I mean, if it doesnt, we tried. But if it does... oh man, the world would be that much freakin' brighter, haha.

Group 1: Brewery only or hard to get, $20+, usually can't get more than 1 or 2, Imperial Stout, >10% abv
Group 2: Stacked on the floor at TW/WF etc, $8, could buy as many as you want, milk stout, <10% abv

Some people like swinging by a shop and buying a couple of a beer off the shelf for <$20, not chasing trucks to get trade bait and shipping, or flying to FL for huna day. Shocking concepts on this site.

I'm just giving you a hard time, and I know what you're saying "it's not a monster stout", but they may just be why people other than yourself like it.

Your post should, in my opinion, get a TON of likes. It contrasts wildly from the more typical type of response that suggests that the poster is wrong in his opinion. You express your opinion like it's yours...and not like it should be everyone else's too. Gotta respect that. You also express support for the taste and hopes of the OP. Class act.

Thanks for engaging in what sometimes seems like the semi-lost art of polite discourse. It doesn't mean always agreeing, but it does mean always not being a dick.

I don't know you, but I like you and would buy you a beer if I had the chance (and a non-Stone beer if that was your preference at that!).

To the OP and all the positive posters: You are being heard, and your voices are appreciated!

    Cheers,

    Greg

Xocoveza isn't Stone's recipe so they can't brew it again without Insurgent's or Chris Banker's permission. I have heard rumors that it going to become a year round under Insurgent's label. If it isn't already. Just find some San Diego traders who can get it.

See, THIS is why I enjoy the craft beer scene so much (aside from the great beer). Cheers to @StoneGreg and all of the other brewer/owners on BA interacting with the community.

I appreciate your comment man. I like Stone beers (the ones I can get here in Mexico that are a couple of IPAs), just not a big fan of dark ales.

    Cheers!!

You think Bomb was thick?

Get serious man, take a week off and sleep out front of the brewery will a sign to get your point across. The mouth feel on this beer was mediocre at best, like 2-3, so it blows me away that you're this serious. I can't wait until you try a really good Mexican stout and the petition that follows that! Cigar City and Westbrook has been notified.

On a side note, how many bottles were produced of this?

BOMB had a had great thickness, taste was above average when I got my mouth around it but nothing too crazy. Prairie usually rides me hard, that brewery knows what they're doing on set, a lot of other breweries in this country don't. For example, I thought Xocoveza was far behind. Edited.

The question was specific to thickness, not overall mouthfeel. And yes, Prairie knows what they're doing, as does every other successful brewery in this country.

I signed. I agree that for the price and availability, this is one of the best new beers of the last year.

lets create a petition to make Hill Farmstead make enough of all of their beers for everyone who wants some...and Lawsons too...and BCBS Prop nationally...fuck it, lets petition to make them all free too!

Those petitions are unrealistic. This one is plausible. Your post is a bad post.

Why not just ask Chris for the recipe and homebrew it?
