Dark Lord Day (DLD) 2015

Just got my email for snail mail. Probably shows up early next week I'd guess.

 

My first time at this event way 2013. I had group E and my brother and I both won and I got a Port and Moscatel.

This time I'm getting into town on Friday. I plan on having no expectations of glassware or BA variants or special pours. This way if I find myself winning a BA Vanilla or with a pour of BA Vanilla or some other crazy beer I will be surprised. In 2013 we sat in line and shared beers and had a blast after not getting there till 5pm. Honestly had an amazing time.

Not worth getting yourself all hyped up only to be disappointed when things don't work out. If I find myself bored I'll go into my backpack and open another bomber for my friends and people passing by.

Is everyone getting email confirmations for group tickets being sent out via snail mail? Or has the emails just been sent for those with GA tickets?

I have group B and got my snail mail email today.

 

Forgive me if this has been answered, but this is my first DLD, We have a small group and were wondering if many people set up chairs and whatnot outside the grounds as kind of a home-base for the day. I have read conflicting info about tailgating in the industrial park etc. We are group C and a couple GA guests and it would be nice to have a place to relax/meet/share periodically throughout the day. Also, anyone getting together Fri. night at Comfort Suites Merriville?

 

Group C tix for me & got an email today:
Your ticket(s) for Dark Lord Day 2015 have been mailed.
They are enclosed in a large white envelope with the Etix logo and return address.
Please watch carefully for them and do not discard them.

If you do not receive your tickets by April 20, please notify us immediately via email at [email protected] making sure to include your order number. And please remember that your tickets are like cash – they cannot be replaced if you lose them.

We ask that you continue to follow the DarkLordDay.com website, 3 Floyds Brewing Co.Facebook page and Twitter feed for updates on this year’s event. 3 Floyds Brewing Co. will place updates on those sites as they become available, including a festival map as we get closer to April 25.

Anyone else NOT get an email that has group tickets? Have group A and got the initial order confirmation but no recent email

 

In the times I've gone to DLD, I've never received tickets after DLD. There are over 2 weeks until DLD. I trust everyone will get their tickets in time for the event.

 

I am in group D and have not received an email.

 

Group A also no email here

 

My email came at 12:23 pm today.

 

Of interest, my better half got an email confirming that her GA ticket had been shipped, but nothing so far for my two group D tix.

And, just to add another layer of beer pressure to this extravaganza, Beer Geeks in Highland will be tapping CBS on DLD.

I stopped at Geeks after DLD three years ago....

No, but in your one follow up response you didn't specify which store hadn't heard of it & which mentioned hops. Either way, I was just passing on that I don't feel there's anything super about their Super Store. They have a super volume of non-exciting things every time I go in. Larger store, larger piles of boxes.

I would either just try calling the IN distributor for the whiskey or buy it at Binny's South Loop. Beer wise I would stick to Highland Liquor Stop or Cask & Cellar, Delocks in Munster, or St John Wine & Spirits.
