I just got one delivered from amazon today! Checkbook is there for size reference for those that are curious (like I was before I ordered it).

 

Seriously. Check your local Target. While I do not have the exact one that Lansman posted I picked one up at Target last year. First time I brought any kind of backpack to DLD. I'm not a fan of carrying things all day. With the insane lines to purchase beer last year it was quite useful, and the burden of wearing it was shared by friends of mine. Bonus win. Anyway, the brand I found was Embark and ran me between $15-$20. Worked like a charm and even came with an attached bottle opener.

 

If I show up with some brew, want to share, hang with some good people, and get to group D sales easy, where's the best place to start? Any particular bottle share in close enough proximity to the event (that is especially welcoming to newbies) that is recommended?

 

Are you getting there early, or in the afternoon (closer to when Group D sales start)?


Also, are you bringing your mom's meatloaf?

 

Im definitely coming in early from Chicago, maybe around 10-11am, and can definitely bring a meatloaf!

 

A lot of the guys on this thread are going to be doing bottle shares outside the two entrances to the event, so that's a good place to start. Also, there's always bottle-sharing going on in the line to purchase Dark Lord. Being drunk makes the line fly by!

 

My group will have an open tent and bottle sharing table set up on the Progress Avenue side entrance line. We'll be getting there around 6am. We'll also be cooking all day on a grill that we'll gladly share with others. We shouldn't be hard to find. We'll have 2 cases of Pliny, 12 cans of Heady, and a bunch of cellar beers and local Cincinnati stuff. I'll post again about it in a week or so.

Wanna save me a sizer of that PtE? Will make it worth your while.

 

I have the exact same cooler backpack! Love it! You can fit quite a few bottles of booze and frozen water in there!
