I'll be in Bloomington this weekend watching my miniature-self play in the Shrine game and plan on hitting Destihl Friday afternoon/night. Anything really tasty on tap that I shouldn't miss?

It'd be cool to grab a brew/bs/trade/jetski with a BA or two as well if anyone's around.

    Cheers!

the top of pic #2 was cut off and there is 2 beers missing. black torrent ipa and hawaii five ale: brewed with 5 hawaiian fruits. too bad youre not here on the 28th for their fest. not sure if i'll be around friday or not but you can message me and if i have time i'll be more than happy to buy you a beer. before you leave town you should find friar tuck on east washington to pick up some rolling meadow brewery beers, think theyre $7 a bomber. also they fill up fast and might be a wait if you take too long. good luck to your miniature-self and i recommend the sour ale and the antiquity rye wine

Thanks for the advice/recommendations! I'll shoot a BM your way when I roll into town on Friday.

The Antiquity Rye Wine really is quite good. I'd order that in a heartbeat if I could make it down there.

Sounds like it's Antiquity followed by the St. D sour for me. Thanks fellas!

As long as you're going for Antiquity you should grab a 4oz. sample of Small Beer, it's the second runnings of Antiquity.

Their sour that they currently have is quite delicious (if you like Wild Ales)... I personally like my Barleywines more sweet than what they have, and their Hoperation is pretty good. I'm not too crazy about their Expresso Stout (I found it rather light and basic)

Love sours/wilds...I'm also a big fan of sweet barleywines. Is theirs hoppier/drier than the average English-style, or just straight hopped to hell American-style?

I personally found it a confusing barleywine... nowhere near as sweet and sugary as a Sucaba, KH or Samael's but not as hopped up as a Behemoth or Old Guardian. More rye character than anything else IMO

Have you had BA Hi-Fi? It's kind of a hybrid English/Rye-wine...loved it.

Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to try the BA Hi-FI out just yet...one day I hope to get my hands on it. lol. I'll take your word for it though because I constantly see it on the trade forums.

I have an extra I could probably hook you up with. I have family in KY (origins) as well...let me know if you ever have a hankering for one.
