Strange has some good beers - most of them being fruit-based. There's probably also something to be said for them pioneering the Denver small brewery scene and fighting against BS litigation. You're not going to get the best beers in town there, but I do feel they're a pretty important part of what's going on around here. Nice folks, too. If we're talking straight-up beers, I'd rather hit Wit's End and Renegade up the road instead.

Oh, I've been there too. I've had several of their beers. All that I tried were good, none were bad. I've just never heard it mentioned on the lists of the top breweries to hit in town. Definitely a solid little brewery though.

Does Strange still have the food truck that does the bacon wrapped jalapenos and pay by the ounce steak?

It was there when I was last there a few months ago, but I don't see it on their list: http://strangecraft.com/explore/
"World Class Vittles" or something like that.

I went on Tuesday for the soft opening and it was yummy. Good beer.
Minor quibbles with the double and saison, but both were still very good. Red wine RIS was complex and tasty. The regular version was great too. They also had a belgian table beer a darker-than-expected IPA, a double IPA (yes) and a tart cherry version of the double.

Made it in to Spangalang last night.. was hard not to when it's right outside my front door. Have to agree with @Italy-BeerCountry for the most part. Both the IPAs were very solid the darker of the two (can't remember the name, but not the hop colossus) was my favorite, but I like hoppy redish beers nothing against the colossus. I got a lot of the wine barrel from the RIS (didn't try the reg). Thought it could use a little more carb to pull the aroma and lift the complex flavors of the palate, but really interesting brew. Nothing that blew me away but all very good none the less def getting off to a great start right out of the gate.

Spangalang was bumpin' last night. What a great time. The other IPA is Soul Sauce and yeah it's good. Also had Beatrice, their farmhouse, which was solid as well.

Both IPAs were good, personally I liked Colossus a bit more than Soul Sauce. The saison was very tasty as well. Great taproom, and I liked that they were playing music on the turntable. You'll be finding me there quite frequently

Apologies if this has been posted before--haven't seen it--but peering in the window, Deep Draft next door to Parallel 17 at 17th and Franklin in Uptown doesn't look too far away from opening. Cool, small space. Their website features a to-do checklist that only has a few boxes left unchecked...

EDIT: just googled and found an article indicating the space is 1350 s.f. Thought it was compact, it is TINY. Seems well laid out though. Turns out the guy is a builder and architect, you can definitely see that.

Went to Spangalang last night. Was not a fan. Taproom is nothing special. I can take or leave the whole jazz theme. It was packed and loud which I hope will die down after opening weekend. Wasn't a fan of the Soul Sauce but I did like their RIS. Left after 2 beers. Doubt I'll be back anytime soon. There's just too many good new breweries.

Speaking of which, went to Fiction last week. Was really impressed but their beers. I guess their head brewer used to brew for Anderson Valley. They have a pretty good Gose on tap. As well as some interesting brett beers like a brett'd raspberry quad that was really tasty.

Went to Spangalang on opening night and again today. First night was just crazy, as expected so won't base anything on that.
As for tonight I got a Hop Colussus (IPA), Beatrice (saison), Love Supreme (Dubbel with Cherry). After talking with one of the brewers Hop is near DIPA but my favorite beer by far. The saison was quite delish as well. The cherry Dubbel was under carbed, but since they have only been brewing so long ehh. They plan to try lots of different before choosing a set jazz list.... Seeing that they are 3 blocks away, I'll keep coming back. They already have another IPA on deck, so I'm glad they are busy brewing. Tons of space tonight, so I'm okay swinging by to try new brews

I'm picky about IPA's and I didn't care for either of 'em. Too weedy and vegetal for my tastes. Definitely closer to the newer GD direction than the older one. However I liked everything else. The dubbel was my favorite and with a hair more carbonation I think it would be pretty fantastic. I think their saison and impy stout were clear homages to where they came from. The latter seemed similar to Belgian Yeti, as it has some jammy notes many don't.
I'm nowhere near Spangalang, but I'll be back too.
Probably the most polished opening since Comrade beer-wise.

oh man, to each his own but I went by Fiction back about 7 months ago and it was gaaaarbage... I hope things have changed but I'm not holding my breath. I had 5 beers and all were average-to-shitty. I work right by there and know am employee though so I'll have to check it out again.

I live right by there and was pretty shocked to hear that a brewery was going into that space. As you said it is TINY. The site says they'll be able to fit 47 people, but I'm wondering if they're including the front patio in that number. 17th is quickly becoming quite a beer block with Denver Bicycle Cafe, The District and B-Side already there.

Also one of the boxes remaining to be checked on the site is 'Brew Beer'. Kind of a big deal.

I actually overheard a little bit about Little Machine at Collaboration Fest, but didn't get all of the details. Assuming Brett doesn't make a 180 from what they do at Dry Dock, these guys should do well.

The River North Brewery Walking Tour:

    https://goo.gl/maps/vIUbt

(Soon to add Bierstadt Lagerhaus, Great Divide & The First Draft (albeit not a brewery)) - also need Google to allow adding more than 10 places. And yes, Spangalang is technically Five Points not River North.

Will be slightly shorter as well (as I do not recommend the walk on 38th) when the pedestrian bridge is built on 35th.

Crazy to think that 4 years ago absolutely none of those places existed...at least not in physical form.
The new Sandlot/Blue Moon location will be on that route, too.
