Question about leaving "bad" feedback

@jakewatt135 another question...You mentioned a great box. The op mentioned de Garde. Tracking info shows 5 lbs. Is that a typo? IF that's correct, exactly how did you put together a great box containing de Garde which weighed only 5 lbs? Just curious.

 

Wow @jakewatt135 i hope it isn't true. Hopefully it's one of those 'didn't scan' instances which has happened and that the 5lbs was just a way under exaggeration.

 

@PA-Michigander it would be great if that was true though since the FedEdx tracking # originated Wed, Apr 8th at 5:42 pm, it seems it should have been well on its way & scanned again even if it was initially missed.

Note, one of my anal-isms is that I always get a receipt for the scanned boxes when I drop em off. I like my FedEx drop & I've assured them I want that receipt despite trusting them. IF something goes awry, it can be shown that we (the drop facility & I) did our jobs, & the problem lies further along. It helps that nobody at the drop has ever expressed the slightest interest in what I'm shipping.

 

Yea I had a friend send me some northeast beer recently and she was confused how I got it because she actually didn't think it had even been dropped off yet as the tracking hadn't been activated somehow. When I got it she still had the tracking number which was never scanned in anywhere, at least according to the online system.

Anyhow, hopefully this turns out ok for all parties.

 

@PA-Michigander If you still have that tracking # could you put it in & see what you come up with? I'm mad curious about this.

Yes, it's not looking great, but hopefully there's been a glitch & this concludes with the happy ending it seemed to be headed for.

@tylerk88 I'm very curious what type of feedback you'll be leaving "if" or "when" you actually get the beers that were agreed upon on the trade.

 

I doubt he can make that determination yet. Perhaps there was a scanning issue. The seller might have good reasons for the delays.

As I understand it, the initial shipment was shipped promptly. Things went awry when it was heavily damaged & returned to the shipper. While @jakewatt135 definitely dropped the ball on this we can't be certain yet just how badly he lagged.

I've got my fingers crossed for a happy outcome.

 

@tylerk88 any updates as far as any communication on this between you and OP. I too have had a box as label only created actually show up for delivery and wanted to know from the community is this just a glitch? Gotta be right?

 

Looking at the tracking I was provided it does show scans everywhere it should have, so one of twit hints happened: the info showed up after the box made it to me or I'm an idiot. Probably the latter.

 

Not necessarily. Shipping practices & protocols seem to be all over the place.

 

Any update on this case? OP, have you been made whole?

Edit: I checked using the tracking left here and all it says is label created. Been a week. What gives?

 

Dropped package off at local shipping spot to get out as soon as I could the day I posted the tracking. Package got misplace and never made onto fedex truck. After another long ordeal with fedex I found the package, had to create a new shipment. Got both boxes out asap once I found them.

 

Definitely learned a lesson after all this. Hope all is made right when it shows up.

As for @JavaNoire the package says 5lbs because I put that for everything. They weigh all packages prior to shipping so it really has no effect what you put in the shipping weight field.

 

Can you do us all a favor and chime in on all of this? It's a courtesy to all traders when you start a potential bad trader thread to follow through and let folks know how things turn out. You can save a traders reputation or help others suffer a similar bad experience.

@jakewatt135 it's well worth the wait to have all boxes scanned & get a receipt when dropping em off. IF you don't get that receipt you have very little proof that you actually shipped anything.

Additionally, in my experience, accountability helps to ensure cooperation when problems arise.

 

Jakewatt135 although it is very possible your box truly didn't get on the truck like it should have, after the initial problems that were the genesis of this thread, this latest twist seems a bit shaky. I have probably shipped over 100 boxes and knock on wood every one of that made it intact when they were supposed to be there with no problems.
