again, just playing devil's advocate, but how do you know what the intent of the bottles is?

I bought my 6 today, I probably will only keep 1 for me. Should I only have bought 1? I thought my best man in Baltimore, buddies in Chicago, trustee in SoCal, etc. might like bottles.

    why is it automatically hoarding?

He doesn't... he's just pissed he didn't get more. I do share the wealth it's called beer trading and people get to try things from Kane from all over the country that have no other opportunity to be able to and I get to try from CCB, Bruery, or any other beers I want to try for that matter. Cheers zero! ID is fitting

    Is that how it is?

So when I bought 12 bottles, I screwed everyone?

It couldn't be that I'll be lucky to keep 3 of them because I had 9 people hoping I could be their supply?

So you got 6 bottles, and your upset that other people didn't get any, cause anyone who bought 6 bottles is hoarding? How can Kane do a 6 bottle per household, per car, per people who look like they came together, or might go home together?

There is always going to be a two sides of the coin debate on subjects like these. To each his own. I find no harm or foul either way. If I couldn't make it i wouldn't complain I was screwed if someone got 12 bottles. Part of life we can't make or get every release.

Does anyone want to trade 1 of 2 of theirs? Heading to the area next week from Chicago. Have access a ton of Chicago stuff looking to trade. Pipeworks, 18th St, FFF, Rev, a few 17s. I'm sure we can work something out.

I wasn't able to make it to the release, but I've settled with just getting a growler of it instead. Is it a perfect solution? Of course not. But I'm not going to complain about people picking up their allotment once per weekend.

@Esic55 Kanes Anniversary is in September. They usually do bottle an anniversary beer. Their next big release should be A night to end all dawns within the next month or two. Expect the release to be an absolute shit show though...

Sold out yesterday noonish apparently. I got there around 3, it was still on tap. As far as the hording thing goes, I know they bottled around 2200 bottles, so considering the they are own like 5 hours a day, and sold out in just over 3 days, they had to be sell like 125 bottles an hour (20+ people an hour taking the max). Seems a bit steep based on the traffic there. Oh and ISO .

They didn't sell out it around 1:30-2pm. I was there at Noon when they opened, maybe 6 people in line, 2 there for growlers, by 12:15 the room was filling up, no "line" by any means.

If they went on sale last saturday and sold out in a few hours, than maybe you could say the limit was too high. Maybe 6 bottles was too high for 2200ish bottles? But since they were on sale Saturday, Friday and anyone who got there within an hour of opening Saturday, hard to say that only a few people were buying all the bottles.

My only issue with the ANTEAD release was they had a visual of what the demand was before they opened and while they lowered the limit from a case to half a case, I feel they should have lowered the limit to make sure people in line had a chance to buy variants. I feel they didn't have good line security, but again they were caught off guard.

wow i guess i got pretty lucky. i got there around 12:30 i think, probably grabbed some of the last bottles.

I got 6 but to be fair, 2 were for my friends, 2 for co workers, and 2 for me. I wouldnt drop 72 bucks on 6 bottles of the same beer for myself.

I'm just finishing one now. WOW is it coffee forward. Never had anything like it. It tastes like someone mixed chocolate milk with coffee.. or like coffee/chocolate ice cream. I really like it.

It was definitely a super intense coffee flavor. One of the guys there mentioned it was 12% coffee by volume, and Rook was cold brewing directly into kegs for them, which i thought was pretty cool.

As far as the limit goes, I don't think it was too low necessarily. I just think based on the traffic at the brewery it would have been tough to sell out in that time frame without some people doubling up.
