on tap at bottleworks and mammoth. a few bottles were on the counter at bottleworks.

It's pretty good, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

It's also at certain grocery stores like PCC and WFM, maybe others, in Seattle. While it may not be quite on the level of the very top-tier stuff in this category, the fact that it costs 1/2 - 1/3 as much makes it about as good.

I didn't look at the price. I hate Lagunitas, but I love High West.

With Lagunitas, you never have to. It's always significantly lower than anyone else's, and for the same quality, I would argue. But if you don't like them, I suppose this is moot for you personally.

I saw it Saturday at Totalwine Lynnwood, both in bombers and on draft. $13.99 for a growler fill IIRC.

If you've got one in your area, might check whole foods. Here in Portland they have bombers in stock. Got one today.

Doesn't really help you, but I think I encountered it on-tap here in Spokane at Post Street Ale House. I say "think" because the staff there wasn't doing a great job of advertising it. When I asked, they called it a "whiskey-aged Imperial Coffee Stout," which I presumes means this beer. I had a sample and wasn't all that blown away: Big bourbon and coffee taste, not much stout.
