Yeah. They got kind of big a while back – sometime after black IPAs and before session IPAs. I don't see as many now.

i agree with the Anchorage Galaxy, it's extraordinary. Chainbreaker I would call pretty good. Isn't/wasn't there one from Boulevard? I remember it being a white IPA, not a saison, and excellent.

I had Comrade's version of an "imperial wit" collaboration between them and Crooked Stave called Dialectic Materialism yesterday that was almost hoppy and bitter enough to fit the "white IPA" bill, and it was great. Looking forward to the CS version...

Chainbreaker and Accumulation are the best of the few I've had though I think those could use a bit more hops. I think the key to a good one is using a yeast that isn't too assertive.

This brew was a surprise when I had it a few back. It's really good, might be because I like Mosaic hops.

Anchorage Brewing's Galaxy White IPA is also a great brew.

It isn't exactly the coolest example, but the best one I've had was from Blue Moon.
Chainbreaker would probably be 2nd, although I'm not totally sold on it being consistent.
    After those two...not so much.

Two of my favorites are Deschutes Chainbreaker and Otter Creek Fresh Slice.

    Cheers!

You're thinking of Reboot White IPA:

Another vote for Harpoon's Long Thaw. Nothing mindblowing but definitely solid.

I know Sam Adams makes one, can't keep track of their names though. Maybe try looking for a really hoppy hefeweitzen?

really nice beer IMO, belongs in this conversation, but only had it once. Was this inspired by the collaboration beer with Deschutes that also kind of (I thought) inspired their Chainbreaker?

From the first sentence on the linked page

"This re-release of our 2011 Collaborations Series No. 2 White IPA brings back the unique marriage of a classic Belgian wittier to an American IPA."

I liked Otter Creek Fresh Slice. I think they've been doing some much better stuff lately. I haven't really seen to many in this style either.

I put White IPA's in the same box as bourbon barrel mostthings, pumpkin's ass, and imperial stopimperialingeverythings.
And then I leave that box curbside.
