I didn't mean you personally - just wondering if these releases are going to turn into big crazy shitshows. Hopefully not. I couldn't imagine waiting on line for anything.

    Nah.

    You are correct, sir.

    Bingo.

There was a line last time. It was out-of-towners who came before opening. I strolled in at 12PM with no line.

Pros: you get cans! Cons: it *may* be a little more crowded than normal in the taproom, with the side room open to alleviate crowding.

All Green Everything, Green Diamonds, any of their IPAs.

But all their stuff is good - from stouts to saisons and everything barrel aged inbetween.

Also everyone wish Anthony a Happy Birthday when you see him! (it was this past week-end)

It is very plausible considering they canned this new batch of GD yesterday (or maybe Saturday) judging from their picture on instagram. That would make the beer at around 1 week old when they release it this Saturday.

I'm pretty sure it's the same picture from the last release.

Looks like it's calling for more rain on Saturday's release. HOw was the last GD release? I heard it rained on that day.

3rd release of GD, can't imagine there should be any reason for anyone to wait in a line unless they like making and waiting in lines. Show up at some point in the day and grab some cans. If for some reason they run out, so be it. There is a killer list of beer on tap now, GD included.

Although we all know if beer is part of a special release and us beer geeks need to wait in line for the beer it will taste much better than if we could easily order it at a bar ! But the special beer release hysteria will all are guilty of contributing to is becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy. AGE and GD been on tap for weeks now and I don't hear anyone talking about waiting in lines and rushing off to get it.

I will be there Saturday as I had planned to go anyway before knowing of the GD release. Hopefully the people waiting in line for GD don't clog up entrance to the tap room bar ! Anyone else going, me and Kanger will be there, let's knock a few back.

you are right...brewery beer does taste better if you have to wait in line...but it tastes best if you can get a buddy to do it

theres nothing like cracking them open 16oz at a time

Question for you guys. I know the release on Saturday is at 10. Saw that they usually arent open until noon on Saturdays. Do you think theyre just opening up early for the day or are they just doing cans at 10 and youre not going to be able to get anything else til noon?

This is NY. You can pretty much get alcohol at any time on any day besides 4am-8am. Sundays are the exception: between 4am-12pm. I believe (but I don't know for sure) the hours on Sunday are intended to give the bars time to restock, as a lot of drinking occurs on the weekends.

In other words, they'll definitely be selling beer on tap. There is, after all, money to be made.

NY State actually has no alcohol sales before 12pm on Sundays. probably dates back to some stupid religious reason

It's an old religious Blue Law:

Yep I mentioned that you cannot buy alcohol between 4am and 12pm on Sundays on my last post. However, I did not know it was tied into an old religious law. Very cool to know!

    Thanks for the knowledge break-down!
