    Sorry to stray from the Stout BIF for a minute, but I digress with a purpose............PrOn!! The people in SWTFYW are crazy in the BEST way possible. I was at the Bottle share 2.0 in January for a little under 3 hours and this happened....

    Dat re-waxed assassin though?? :grimacing::grimacing:

    J/k never had the West Ashley or any BA Cakes. How did they stack up on the night?

    Looks like there is a blip on the radar screen and a bogey or two are inbound from the great state of Illinois! From someone whom I had crossed off my list because I thought they had already sent to someone else!

    You were indeed! I think you had to leave before I did. I still have some nice bottles from you that I am waiting to open.

    West Ashley was great! The BA Cakes were very good, but I liked the DBH and Assassin better. Those two were my favorite of the night and I would have a problem finding better stouts. Personal preference is definitely included in that statement.

    I would do bad things to have some of those bottles again!

    And someone in this thread was directly responsible for me being able to bring one of those Assassin's to the share.........cough, cough........damn bunnies.....cough, cough.

    I did have to leave early, which sucked, but I still tried most, if not all, of the beers you posted pics of.

    @bcm75 your box is on the way, I can't say that I have multiple on the way for you now but I can say that I owe you a another box with some swag as I just didn't get what I was trying to get for you, yet... I tried to make up for not having it ready though by sending you a 49lb box of what I hope you will enjoy :slight_smile:

    Both stacked up well. West Ashley was neck and neck with Fou (and beat Map of the Sun and Apricotfunker) and personally I enjoyed DB Cake more than DB Huna. I'll second @Mipper that Assassin was one of my favorites of the day, with Side Project Pulling Nails Blend 2 taking top honors.

    Can't wait! It might arrive when I'm out of town, in which case I will check the tracking and have a trusted neighbor bring it in for me.

    Boxes dropped off. They are headed to a state where the beer flows like wine and where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.

    Pulling Nails is something I need to track down one day. I don't love cake but heard the variants are impressive. I have had the pleasure of Map of Golden Sun, Fou, DBH and Assassin and agree it is a good day when you are putting any one of those down. Thanks for the insight.

    Aha! That's gotta be me. The real question is, at which point did I cross you off, or were you planning a surprise attack all along?! :rolling_eyes::rolling_eyes::rolling_eyes:
