Per Toppling Goliath's Twitter account "@TGBrews: Before everyone goes crazy we will fill out IA first, then add MN, fill out WI, add IL, fill MN, and so on....this will not happen overnight"

I'm sure this will take awhile to happen, and Chicago seeing most of the distribution at first but exciting nevertheless!

So excited when I saw the title, but so sad when I read the content.

I dunno, I think that's pretty damn exciting. If they fill out WI (meaning I can get it in the same areas I get NG beer), that's good enough for me. And if they can pull off IL (Chicago, hopefully), that'd be icing on the cake. I've never even had a TG brew, and I'd love to get started.

Edit: It's also important to note that their Twitter account has an article from USA Today saying that TG is going to be able to increase production "by nearly fivefold." So that's definitely good news.

I suspect it'll show up in the IL hinterlands before the Chicago metro area. Hopefully I'm wrong, but this is a huge market to service.

And MI isn't even on the radar once again....sigh.

Our distribution leaves so much to be desired.

Did you see that they still need to fill out the demand for Iowa and Wisconsin first. I believe 3 floyds also plans on expanding distribution once the fill out the places they already distribute to. See how fast that is going.

Perhaps MO eventually after that? Being in KS, I can usually cross over and get what I need.

Such as? Honestly curious which ones you find as good or better, I don't get to Chi-town often enough to know.

I think a lot of places in illinois will be before chicago, such as the illinois side of the quad cities, Peoria, Rockford, and all areas before chicago. Fulfilling chicago is like fulfilling the whole state of Wisconsin alone.

My guess is referring to Pipeworks, Half Acre, and Revolution. I'd say those easily have as good of IIPA and APA that TG produces.

More overpriced bombers, our prayers have been answered!

I'll stick to drinking TG on-tap when in Des Moines IA visiting in-laws, I don't need their beers in Chicago.

Couldn't be further from the truth. Toppling Goliath bombers in Iowa ranged from $3.99-$6.99 (including Sue) when I bought them two weeks ago.

Having my fair share of TG beers, I think certain beers have fallen off somewhat. Excited to see it hit IL, but I don't think the quality is there as it once used to be.

Except you forgot the part where they will start canning beer.

Three Floyds distro to the NW burbs of Chicago has gone to crap since Windy City took over. You could at least get Dreadnaught APW and a few others regularly (Before WC) now I don't even look for it.

They haven't made a ton of either of those beers recently, if I recall correctly. Madison has seen more War Mullet than anything in the past year-ish.

Good luck. We haven't seen anything in kegs for almost 5 months.

You think a $13.06 or $22.88 six pack equivalent price is reasonable for Pale Ales / IPA's?
Some people must "got it like that", I ain't one of them peoples.

I'll take sixers of Fist City / 4packs of Senita over Sue and Golden Nugget all-day, everyday.
(Plus if you think those bombers would sell for $3~6.99 in Chicago you're kidding yourself.)

As stated above, they'll be canning the core beers (sue, Dorothy's, GNug) and I really doubt the cost per ounce will stay at that level. Might want to reserve your judgement until those are actually available.

Duly noted. But here in the land of $12~14.99 six packs of Three Floyds core beers I highly doubt they'll be cheap enough for me.
    Full disclosure: I'm cheap.
