that sort of does make sense.

below the 11% in this this photo it does say 4.9% by volume in english even. and it's called a light beer. So i'm inclined to think all of those 11% labels are around 4-5% which would make sense. everyone was drinking it by the liter.

So I just skipped through all this. I assume your last paragraph is just to explain what your ID means right?

    Anyway, Добро пожаловать.

    Respect beer.

    Zdrastvi.

There are so many great beers in America right now I am sure you will never get nostalgic for Russian Beer. Good Vodka, though? It can be found, but you better have a full wallet, and I've only tasted one American made Vodka that can even begin to compete with good Russian.

    Welcome OP!

The only experience I have with Russian beer is this 99 cent monstrosity. If you thought lost abbey beers were flat...

that's the beer my namesake makes these days. pretty substandard, agreed. Most russians drink Baltica, which i also stay away from.

Beer was not the same (although it was pale lager), the name of the beer was the same. In some cities it was good, but mostly it was crappy.
