Vast Beer Selection in San Diego?

    So after careful consideration and utilizing the following tips. I've narrowed the list to a more attainable goal. I am sorry for the my lack of knowledge on craft beer. I've been stuck on a boat for the past 3 months so my thirst of quality beer is at a all time high. Tell me what you guys think? I get back on land starting Friday, been doing more and more research. It should also be noted that I don't plan to buy all these all at once just a few at a time. Thank you all for the help, it has been much appreciated. If you think there are any other beers that I should add, just go right ahead.

    These are easy to find. Just about anywhere for most of them.

    These are harder to find and will take some good timing or luck. Sour in the Rye gets released later this month and Oude Tart is essentially a once a year release. The RR beers get snatched up very quickly.

    Not in California, not yet.

    IIRC, shipwreck was actually a R&D at the miramar location (probably homebrewmart as well) that was on for maybe 2 weeks.

    But I have had beers in between when I think I drank it and now so who knows.

    Either way if it does still exist, it will be draft only, maybe growler if you get lucky, but you will need to visit their brewery locations to find it as it won't be in bottles and unlikely on draft elsewhere. It could be, but I kinda doubt it.

    Starting on earth day you will have better luck at finding SiTR. Oude Tart is midyear, pliny is every other week at a few places and once a month at others, but like Sumdeus said it gets snatched up really quickly so best bet is to figure out shipment schedule of your lbs. Deliverance I haven't seen in a while, I believe that is more 2nd half of the year release but could be wrong on that. The Vine is found relatively easily (compared to the other difficult ones) but expect to pay a premium since cascade beers down here are pricey.

    OP. You can also post an IP trade proposal for out of market beers, that is, if you have something to offer.

    I'm from MI and was just out there last week. I brought out & traded one week old zombie dust and kbs (could have easily brought breakfast stout).

    lol, the military is the reason I am stuck on a boat. It should be noted that I am not in the Navy, I traveled all throughout mexico and even ventured out and tried some of the craft beers they had (not good at all). In conclusion, I found myself drinking Victoria, Modelo, and Corona, and after a while that gets real old.
