Ya know what's funny. These people on here panicking about formaldehyde in beer, yet they claim to taste 20 flavors in that double IPA they just drank. Shouldn't you be able to detect it if it was real? No need to be a chicken about beer...unless you are drinking brews from Mozambique.

The corn nuts masks formaldehyde in certain beers.

I have a cheap Cass (95% certain it's Cass) coffee mug looking thing that says something to the effect of "let's share joy together one more time".........it's just awesome. If I can ever figure out that damn flikr or imgur thing I'll post it to favorite glassware.

Certainly if the journal is refereed and papers are peer reviewed, I would be more accepting of the conclusions.

As for the industry connection, I am not making any conclusions. It is simply grounds for skepticism, given the obvious interest Tsingtao would have in being given a clean slate. I think the paper would have greater acceptability if the study were completely independent -- that is, conducted by a third party with absolutely no connections to the company, financial or otherwise.

FWIW, I once had a social studies teacher who said it was legal to have formaldehyde in beer. I can't remember if it was 5%, .5%, .05% or whatever, but he claimed some amount was legal.
I have both a Hite and OB Lager bottle openers. They're nice momentos of Korea even though the beer is substandard. Where were you stationed may i ask?

I agree posting pictures here is a hassle. I tried once, and will never try again.

Actually it's pretty easy, at least from a desktop computer. From an iPhone (5S, iOS 8) via the BA app, now that's a hassle. Doesn't work. App won't let me paste an image link into the field.
