A more serious guess, marshmallow graham cracker "s'more" dark lord

 

I was at FFF last night on a ZD run and guy at counter confirmed Akvavit, BVDL, and a sherry barrel version. Most likely will be others, but those for sure.

In their defense, people buy Malort regularly, so it's not completely outlandish.

Aquavit / Malort is one thing and some of us do genuinely enjoy the flavor of Wormwood, we're not just trend-jumping dorks with Twitter accounts to show of "OMG MALORT FACE!"
But an Imperial Stout, especially one as sweet as Dark Lord, aged in said Barrels sounds guh-ross!

 

Yeah, I think Malort is kind of nasty, but I certainly understand that someone out there has to like it, for it to still sell. Plus, I drink absinthe which is also weird tasting (and not coincidentally also has wormwood in it), so it'd be hypocritical for me to not understand the appeal. My point was mostly that there are probably people that would be genuinely really excited about that sort of Dark Lord variant. I wouldn't be among them, but they probably do exist.

 

Most of them are at Warpigs right now... Not so much in Munster

 

Based on having both Port and Moscatel BA Dark Lord in years past; if you enjoy regular Dark Lord, then you will probably enjoy Akvavit Dark Lord. That being said, I would definitely not pay $50 for it unless a couple people wanted to split the cost.

I was offered $300 for my winning ticket last year and BVDL was already gone. I also followed a couple guys out of the gate to take my allotment to the car and the guys in front of me had the Earl varient and a couple guys shouted at them offering them $100 for a pour if they opened it.

 

So what is everyone's breaking point on what they'd sell a DL variant for if offered at the event?

I think mine would be $250. Anything below that and I'd keep it, but if someone walked up to me with $250 I'd hand it over to them.
