Me too. Awesome, especially for outdoor activities. Works great with can or bottle.

I know I'm breaking the "N" rule of WBAYDN, but this was too good to pass up. I had to be in DC for work on Tuesday, and I had some time to kill before my train, so I hit up BlueJacket / Arsenal. Wow! What a place! If I lived there I would be in there all the time to watch a game. And it's just a block away from Nationals Park.

So I had a flight of the following:

    From right to left:
    Forbidden Planet (Kolsch) - 3.58
    Paramour (American IPA) - 2.92
    Clamor (DIPA) - 4.04
    Roughneck (Stout) - 3.76
Mexican Radio (Milk Stout) - 4.24

I also came away with these bottles:

    Lost Weekend
    Spectre
    (Valley Below)
    Full Bloom
    Tiger Tail

    Great day!

When this was started Nine houndred and eight days ago the best part used to be seeing who would be the first to crack a beer, and maybe why they were drinking early. I mean If you want to post pics from days past at least do it somewhere in the middle of the thread and not try and start off with old pics. That's just poor form. It gets boring when the thread is started every day by someone drinking a double digit ABV barrel aged beer at 6 am. At least that's how I feel about things. And the what you said in bold is what this thread is about quite literally.

Great to have another beer from the series that isn't underwhelming (other being Mars).

    Cheers!

Thanks found him at a estate sale. Original owner bought him in 1976. That's what the daughter told me. Cost 2 $

A gray, cool, and rainy day here in Charlotte. Did the treadmill thing, chopped meats and veggies for the slow cooker, and now it's time to relax with Miles and a Little Sumpin' Sumpin'. Cheers, all...

For what it's worth, it's green pretty much all year-round here. I've lived in several Southern states, and for a long time, but I grew up in upstate NY, so I've seen my share of white, and I kind of miss having four distinct seasons. Here, winter (if you can call it that) lasts about six weeks, spring lasts about two weeks, and then summer hangs out for what seems like thirteen months, then one week there are leaves, the next there are not, and the whole thing starts all over again. The one constant, at least, is beer...

I agree. On a related note, I take New Beer Sunday quite literally. It's NEW Beer Sunday ... you drink a beer that you have not had on that thread, on that day, and post about it. Not a new beer to you from three weeks ago. So I always assumed WBAYDN to be a literal thread as well. I really don't understand what's so complicated about this. Do "likes" really mean that much to people?

I swear, with one hand on the original Reinheitsgebot, and the other holding a naked lady bottle opener, that the beer in the picture(s) and music that I post on WBAYDN are/were consumed within 10 minutes of my original posting. Cheers !

Drinking a Swedish DIPA, OppigÄrds Thurbo DIPA. As per the date code this beer was packaged some time this month which is nice, OppigÄrds is the largest Swedish craft brewery (at around 10000 barrels) which helps in maintaining product freshness I guess. The taste is pretty darn dry and refreshing with a solid bitterness and hoppiness. It has that typical IPA/DIPA flavor (hops are chinook, nugget, columbus, cascade and citra but tastes "IPA" to me). Just a solid Swedish DIPA which showcases the value of having domestically produced craft beer which isn't months old when it arrives at the store (I've been burned a few times by high priced imported American IPAs/DIPAs which have been overly sweet, presumably due to age).

Thought I'd post again, with a link to my review... seriously, I feel bad for anybody who didn't find a bottle of this, especially at the price ($43 for a case directly from Bell's, I've heard... HOW!?).

    Cheers again, BA!

Late to the party on this one. Seems like the hops have dropped off a bit, but still pretty tasty. Tastes a lot like one of Lagunitas strong ales, come to think of it. Surprised not a single user review I read mentioned American strong ales.
