Are you not entertained? The $100 bottle is the epitome of this entire thread. Bullsh!t rumors, massive butthurt, needless overreacting. I love every second of it. Hell this thread is becoming the best part of DLD.

Yup, this is the reason I'm still following this thread. All the necessary info is (for the most part) pages and pages back. Now you just strap in, enjoy the rollercoaster of last-minute panic/rumors, and then show up next Saturday.

The postage issue keeps coming up. Here's the deal from an actual postal employee. Believe me if you'd like.

Whoever sent out the tickets did not put enough postage on them. Technically, every single ticket sent through the post office (unless they figured out their mistake halfway through) should be going out postage due.

BUT, catching postage due is a time wasting pain in the ass at every step of the way. Unless you're talking about a parcel short paid by several dollars, you often spend more money in the extra work required to collect the postage due than the amount of postage you actually collect. Most clerks don't bother with small stuff like this, but I've also worked with clerks whose mission in life seemed to be to collect every single penny.

    Three things can happen:
    1. It gets delivered as is (overwhelmingly most likely scenario)
    2. It gets returned to the sender for postage (the incorrect, but lazy way to do it)
    3. It gets sent to you postage due. If you are home, you can pay for it. If you are not home, a notice is left and it is held at your local post office for 15 days before being returned to the sender. You can either pick it up or request redelivery if you are going to be home.

Sorry to clutter a DLD thread with actual facts. I hear this year's variant will be aged in Mad Dog 20/20 barrels.

Apology accepted for spouting your disgusting knowledge of real things in this thread of fantasy.

However, I think there's been enough panic about the tickets, so the clarification is appreciated.

I heard that there's a BA Variant of DL that were aged in barrels personally thrown by Donkey Kong himself.

Thank you for this. If I didn't have my tickets I would find some comfort with this info.

I just heard that Big Freedia got the DLD gig because she helped FFF source the Tabasco Sauce Barrels for the Tabasco-Aged variant.

For the life of me, I can't remember from years past (and I apologize if this has been mentioned), but does your +1 (i.e., the person getting your 2nd ticket (i.e., the one in whose name the tickets are not held)) have to be with you in order for him or her to get his or her allotment of DL, or can he or she go in by themselves so long as within the time window? I seem to recall that they can pick up their allotment on their own, and they only have to be with you when they first enter the festival.

    Can anyone confirm?

BTW, this is the second mention from 2 separate sources of a Mad Dog 20/20 variant so this must be true...^.../s

I would have posted both of them but I still don't know how to get quotes into those neat blue backgrounds before posting. How do you do that?!?

In years past, they did not need to be with you to get their DL allotment.

Not to fixate on the ticket concern, but figured I'd let any other Canadian BAs know that ours arrived today via FedEx. They attempted delivery yesterday, but no one was there to sign.

That variant is supposed to be good, but inferior to his nephew's. I have a friend that works at 3F that said once you try their DL aged in Diddy barrels you'll be saying "pappy who"

In 2013/2014 (the only years with the name on the ticket deal) the only time they checked your ID was when you were given your wrist band, which was either in the line if you got there early, or when you entered the gate if you arrived after 10AM.

But dont assume this will be the case this year. I can name dozens of things that change every year. So assuming something will be exactly the same as the prior year is probably wrong.

    BOOM!
    ISO: MD 20/20 DL

Whenever I tried this, it would look like an MS DOS code.
I'm such an IDIOT! I hope they don't take my points away.
