    Oak Highlands Brewery in Dallas had its grand opening yesterday (July 18, 2015). Right now they are only supplying to bars and serving in house. They are getting their canning line up and running in the near future they said.

    Saw the love in a previous post for 11 Below, just attended my second tap takeover at Whole Foods that they have done, spent like 1 hr talking to the brewer. All a bunch of great guys going about it the right way. Their Red IPA is a really well balanced beer, I grab a growler of it every time it is on tap. Actually going to head over to their brewery tomorrow. As for Texian, I talked to their brewer when I went by their brewery a few weeks ago on a Beer Bus tour. I got the feeling from him that they thought they were going to fast, and they decided to slow down and focus on quality and such. I almost didn't get back in the bus. They had several sours on tap along with some other beers (didn't notice, too taken with the sours) and the gose they had had just blown :slight_frown:. Going back out there when the Houston heat starts to receded. I have been talking to some beer guys in the Northwest part of Houston trying to get them to carry the few bombers that they make and to have them try to get some of their kegs. I

    San Antonio - Weathered Souls Brewing Co.

    Spearheaded by a local homebrewer with commercial brewing experience (always a good sign). He makes some great homebrew. Hopefully he can make it work on a commercial system. Aiming for a summer opening.

    Also, San Antonio Brewing Company will be operating under the name "The OK Brewery & Eishaus" in tribute to the OK Bar & Grocery that used to occupy the historic building that they're moving into at Hemisfair Park.
