This question has been asked and answered in a bunch of previous threads. Do a quick search of the site; I don't want to bog this thread down with such a contentious topic.

 

I've kept bottles I've deemed fairly special (like the BA Dark Lords) and setup some shelving in my basement for display.

 

State excise board/police, not the city. Muenster could give a fuck if FFF sells packaged goods at DLD. Probably pissed about losing sales tax, actually.

One of the things posted is that FFF's license only lets them sell from inside a building, not a tent (or whatever) and the building they used last year is under construction. Or that the logistics of selling out of a tent won't work. Or it's a deal their lawyers made to keep the bottle share (which, it turns out, is very illegal).

 

I hope the in person ticket sales group A line isnt to long. I think it is dumb they just didnt give you your ticket on the spot.

 

So people could change the name and scalp them like in past years? Or get two and double dip?

Not saying you want to do that, and I get the frustration of waiting in another line. But, assholes ruined it for you in past years.

 

Well still no tickets.

Of course had eTix shipped on the 6th like they said they would probably wouldn't be in this boat.

 

Last year they basically engraved the ticket with the pen lol. I get it they are all about no scalping. On another note who ever will be in the in person ticket sales I will have a variety of goodies to make the pain of the line better!

 

I think it was 2013 where they just used a Sharpie that you could wipe right off. They did the engraving in 2014 to stop that, but I'm guessing some other shenanigans led them to implement the current system (double dipping, still possible to scalp, whatever).

Not sure if that's the kind of info that @kodt might want in the DLD history thread. Seems like minor notes, but that's what the history thread is all about.

 

Honestly I never heard any complaining about the attempt to change the written names on tickets. I heard people did it but not enough to ruin the overall experience for anyone. All in all I think it was small enough issue but it didn't really need to be changed.

Now, it looks like a bunch of people did not get their tickets in the mail and now have to pick them up at will call. That's all of the in-person ticket sales and all of the mail screw up having to pick up tickets at the event gate. It is going to get messy. I really hope that they have that tent open a couple of hours before main gates.

 

Thanks for some of the advise! I understand that you will pay for parking to park at someone's property. Does anyone know if you have to reserve prime spots or if those people tend to let you leave your car?

In 2013 there was a will call tent as USPS failed to deliver a bunch of tickets. I remember it was open at 8 am when we got there and it took all of 2 minutes to get our tickets.

 

There is no way that is true. Three Floyds is an evil corporation out to get as much money as they can from us and there is just no conceivable way that the blame would fall upon USPS or any other vendor. Sorry, but you are a liar. And Three Floyds is the devil.

Same with 18th street, their stupid barrel massacre. No communication and then they totally screwed over a bunch of people by selling the tickets online this morning. I got tickets, and am going, but I'm going to comment on all of the beers on Untappd with "meh..."
